Pedro - Nice video, but the anti-vac valve is really designed for another purpose. It is to prevent a vacuum building up inside the boiler as it cools down. Without the anti-vac valve, the boiler could be crushed by external air pressure as the internal pressure drops in line with the temp. The pressure from heating the boiler forces it closed and then as pressure/temp inside the boiler drops, air pressure forces it back open. The safety valve - as you say is to stop the boiler getting too much pressure.

Hi, my single head E61 has some sort of vapour coming out from the anti-vacuum valve when the machine is turned on, it releases quite a loud noise from time to time as well. Do i need to get it change?

I tried gently pressing the red thermostat button (removed rubber plug on base) then fired up the machine. Boiler runs until about 1 bar, then shuts down. Don't know if this has "cured" the excessive pressure problem, but will see how it goes. Pressure stat won't be too hard to replace (nothing is on this machine) if needed.

I have a older la carta machine and had a burst of pressure where it sounded like it popped and steam came hissing out the safety valve during warm up do i replace the whole safety valve or can it be adjusted?

La Pavoni Professional anti-vacuum valve does not release excess pressure. Pressure gauge ranges into the red and keeps going. Is the valve stuck shut? I've serviced the valve and it moves freely. Suggestions?

my questions is our safety valve is broken and i wanted quickly fix it and finish with dead end. Ordered couple of them. Works fine now.But filling the boiler sound does not come anymore.Do youthink its just we dont Hve safety valve anymore or i have one more problem? 2 days will work in this way :(

There could be another issue.. So is the boiler not filling, or not heating?

@@CoffeePartsTV not filling we change the anti vacuum valve and its fine. it is probably designed to work to together. when its fulled with highly pressured steam it does not work.

You mention standard sizing. Wouldn't brands like Nouva Simonelli use metric?

Plumbing fittings are BSP, a pre metric standard. When everything else went to metric, they kept the standard for pipe threads, as it was a different thread than imperial anyway. You don’t want people using standard nuts and bolts to seal boiler fittings or anything.

My Wega Sphera One Group all of a sudden blew steam from the inside during warmup. Never change safety valve. Can that cause the problem? Or there is some switch that is failing?

If it was my machine I would open it and test it while open so I can see what where is the leak. Or verify the most likely safety valve yes. I wouldn't guess.

I have a Rocket espresso Giotto from 2004 - water tank model/vibration pump - model with half moon pressure gauge. This machine has not been used for the last 14 years or so I turned the machine on and all appeared to be fine (I did not pull a shot) Then I checked steam wand (was fine) and then hot water nozzle and it was fine and the water was coming out of it but then after that the machine wanted to collect the water from the tank to the boiler which of course is normal But despite the noise (rather louder than I would expect knowing rockets) nothing was happening. It kept making noise and the pump was working but now water was collected and the sound did not stop until I turned the machine off. What could be wrong with the machine?

On my machine, the pressure increases so high that the safety valve then does its thing and releases a lil pop and lots of steam comes out. What could that be teh cause of that issue? i assume not the anti vaccum as if it was the issue, i would have no pressure?
