I still think Goldeneye is the best overall Bond film. It's too bad the scripts got progressively sillier over Brosnan's tenure. He was fabulous in the role. All the little details like adjusting his neck tie while in the tank, etc. Sublime.

He spent a good 10 minutes talking about what heroes actors are and how self-sacrificial they are for their careers. I was honestly waiting for him to say, "And actors are some of the most humble people in the world." He honestly felt a little smug.

Every interview of a famous actor has the "wow he's so down to earth" comment. You know nothing about him, you have only seen his public persona in some interviews on TV or KZfaq. Maybe he's humble, but we don't know, and it's quite unlikely. People who are (or were) very famous, very rich, and very good-looking are less likely to be humble than the average Joe. No matter what they seem to be in interviews.

It's a real shame Die Another Day was Pierce's last film as Bond. Although it was silly and ridiculous, I liked it and I thought it was great. I think the franchise getting rebooted in 2006 was for the best. Daniel Craig is an excellent James Bond. It would had been good if Pierce Brosnan had done a few more films as Bond. Roger Moore played Bond until he was 59. Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig were both born to play James Bond and I'll miss Craig when he leaves.

He very nearly played in more movies. He was originally supposed to replace Roger Moore in 1986 when Remington Steele was canceled for the first time but when those ass hats at NBC heard that Brosnan was going to be the next James Bond, they tried to cash in on Brosnan's publicity so they revived that series which meant that Pierce would not be available to play Bond. If Steele had not been revived, Timothy Dalton would never have played Bond and Brosnan would have appeared in six Bond films.

Pierce Brosnan is my favorite Bond!! He is the best actor who has played that spy role combining it very well with glamor and elegance .This is what I think, each one will have their opinion and taste. I would like him to return in a role as an old agent with a lot of experience and mischief.

Aside from the James Bond games at the time, Pierce Brosnan was my childhood Bond and what introduced me to the series. I'll never forget going to Blockbuster and renting 'GoldenEye' on VHS shortly before seeing Tomorrow Never Dies at the theater back in 1997. Good times and something I'll never forget. I was around 7 or 8 years old at the time, and I'm close to turning 30 soon next week. It's a shame that we all have to get old.
