This was for a college music class project. Not synced/edited that great and frankly an old video. This was still when I was learning more than playing this music. After playing out in the past 2.5 years I will soon upload a newer one and provide a link here! Thanks!

I am surely not the only one who’s been inspired by this video. So many tasty grooves in here. Been focusing on Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms lately on the drums and I am constantly referencing this video to see how it should be done. Thank you!

I don't get why people say "Latin music." It's like saying "American music." There are hundreds of styles of music in the U.S., and there are probably just as many in Central and South America. This is Afro-Cuban drumming. Or "salsa" drumming.

Thanks for the upload. Your video helps me to determine genres for jamming purposes. I had noticed that also there isn't a lengthy Bongo Bell pattern available on you tube for the reason. It would be good if there was longer sample to play along too.

It's probably easiest if you focus on the rhumba clave. Once you identify the clave, you can see that his right foot only ever plays the traditional "tumbao" rhythm. And his hands just freestyle over the top of those two things. The guy's got skills.

Really cool video! I'm practicing independence with claves on my feet for improvisation using the sincopation. Do you have a book where you learned all the rythms? I know most of the latin rythms by learning them in songs. You seem to be playing and improvising a little bit, I'll be using this video to practice more :)
