Hey Jef, if you're sending the whole group to the aux with GR7, without adjusting sends like in a DAW, couldn't you equally use GR7 on the group level of the group where you have your guitar samples? Thanks for the video, I appreciate this kind of content!

Definitely! The main reason I didn't do that here is because my sample chops would have taken over the whole group including the GR sound slot... this way it keeps the two separated. If you're just recording I actually prefer the way you said... and would then just color the first sound slot differently so it's easy to see the sound slot with GR!

@@jefgibbons im pretty sure he meant putting GR on the group level FX. GR wouldnt need to be put into a Sound Slot.

@@jefgibbons I think the advantage of doing it your way is hearing the effect as you play, I don't remember if it works that way when the fx are on group level.

Oops, I misread that first post... Yeah, I don't think it does work on the group level, but I'll try it! I thought you meant putting the GR sound slot as the first pad in one group with the rest being all of your samples. That definitely works! @@dreG450

Took advantage of upgrade pricing and a $50 promo code from NI to get GTR rig 7 for only $75. Very pleased with it (even though I would never use 99%of the presets). Today 12/31 is the last day I believe…. One thing about the presets is the volumes are all over the place!!! They could have done some work on the output levels to get them even. Happy New Year everyone!

Hi Jeff I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I learn so much from them. I just followed this video and I am at the point in the video where you recorded your cords and sliced them and applied to a group. I have four separate slices but only the first slice has my guitar rig preset playing. The other three pads are playing the sound but no effects on it. What am I missing here? thanks.

Great video! I know this sounds like a newbie question, but I can't seem to find a dry/wet mix on guitar rig?? I usually use separate delay and reverb plugins but since I saw this video I have been diving into this great plugin! I can dry/wet individual effects in a preset, but can't seem to find the master dry/wet?

How do you find the latency monitoring through guitar rig?

Latency is dependent the power of your computer. On my new MacBook Pro I have no dropouts on the lowest buffer setting of 32 using the audio I/O on Maschine 3. Indicates 7.6ms latency. That’s like standing about 8 feet from an amplifier? Not noticeable to me with headphones.
