Spectacular RC U-Boat Submarine Convoy Attack, Warship Hunt with Depth Charge Explosions
The Surface Warship Association and Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team put on a display at Action Stations WW2 weekend (Portsmouth Historic Dockyard) of a U-boat submarine attack on a freighter convoy. The accompanying escort ships in the fleet search with sonar, acquire their target and drop depth charges to destroy the enemy.
Filmed by Dom for the 'Essential RC' KZfaq channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 4K camcorder at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Thanks to Surface Warship Association and Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team for their hospitality.

Wish I could have seen live and participated. Great job by all involved. Did the tank start to take out buildings? Thank you for sharing. So many do not know the kind of dangers that ships crossing the oceans had to endure.

Of course the U-Boats never have their naval pennant hoisted while on patrol, that's only for home waters and in port. I've seen diving model uboats that wave the flag underwater, comical at best
