Initially I didn't quite understand the Kuos form, but Its expanded my understanding. (Staff and the in depth forms youve delved into some detail about) Agree its important not to modify the form, its the textbook of learning. Thanks for your open teaching and explanation.

I remember hearing this term in the 1980's. I studied this style during the late '70s with Martin Li This was my first style of Tai ji

Very nice. the power of the square emphisized. The square and circle are unified and together seek the other.

So you would say that we were given the bones of tai chi, and that dedicated practice "fleshed it out"? I would agree, though I didn't have the words for it until you provided them. The image of a block of rough grantite (rather like myself in the 70s) that became washed and smoother with time-passing, I think is especially apt. Great presentation!

Guang Ping was a name given to our form by YC Chiang. It came from the prefecture from which Yang Lu Chan lived. David Chin went there, but it had been redistricted out of existence. David started calling it Kuo Lien Ying Family style for a while, and Hank Look pitched a fit over that. I began calling it "The 64" after that because of the bad vibes from Hank. But GPYTC has stuck.

At 22:00 onwards - now I understand why my Fu teachers teaching style was “blocky”.

Very informative. Thank you. Qur'an 31:19 "And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass"
