The tune in the lavender powder puff music box appears to be part of “The March of the Toreadors” by Georges Bizet from the opera “Carmen”.The peach paperweight was made by a company called Intaglio Levay which was located in Illinois. The designer of many of their pieces was named Susan Carr Anton. It’s such a pretty piece - you have a little gem there.

Doilies and potholders make nice protective layers between china plates when they are being stored .

I also use pot holders between my non-stick pans when I stack them in the cabinet .

If you were wearing your Real Nifty Vintage shirt at the antique mall then they gave you 10% off because they knew you were a dealer. It used to be common practice to give 10% off to dealers, not everyone does it anymore.

Those are the kind of potholders that burn your fingers when you are taking things out of the oven. But you could find someone to sew all the potholders together and make the most fabulous Afghan!

Lamp has been rewired. Fabric wrap style wire is available for rewiring old lamps to give the appearance. Original silk wrapped wire would be deteriorated.

People go *crazy* for those sink frogs! I was checking out at Goodwill once and these ladies started getting into it over one. "You don't understand, I _collect_ frogs!" "Well it's in my basket, what can I tell you?" It was ugly lol

I’d suggest grouping the pot holders into sets of three for $6 or so. From what I can see, many of the colors would coordinate very well. There’s something appealing about a “set”. So, just a suggestion. I hope they sell well for you. 😊

The hardware on your vase is older than you think. Probably 60's especially with the slotted head. If you remove the nut and take it to be sized at a Hardware store, you can see if it is SAE or Metric.

I bought a green metallic powder puff music box from you awhile back because it reminds me of my Grandmother's vanity area in her bedroom. I believe it was handed down to her... or a gift? It looks like the 1930's to me, but then again could be 50's. LOL🤔🥴!!!

+16:28 I had that music box when I was growing up in the 40's/50's. I'm sure it belonged to my mother first, so I'm guessing it's from the '30's.

that collection of "pot holders" are not all pot holders. some are trivets and some are wash clothes... and some are purely decorative. great find for just $8!

I search it as "Aluminum musical powder box" most came up in blue or gray - pink is not a common color. I did see a date of 1930 or 40s but not sure if correct. Prices were all over - $20-50.

you would go crazy coming to my house. my husband inherited his family home by his mother whose parents once owned it. It was built in the 1800s during the Civil War by a man named Edward Jones who started the first industry business a meat packaging company.He raised pigs that roamed free but found that by keeping them in pens and feeding the pigs corn they got fatter. Any way there are four floors to this old house,an attic,two apartments then the downstairs and then a basement.His great aunts and uncles lived here for a while but everyone left things in this house from old dishes,nick-nacks,silverware,avon bottles,you name it it is probably in this house.We have owned the house since 2016 and still haven't went through everything cause there is so much in boxes,and totes.We have Christmas items old and brand new w never used

The base isn't a married. Look up "Jack in the Pullip" vase during your search. Did you try looking up the # of the mold on the bottom of the base? It's very nice.

Enjoyed your finds! I would keep the lamp for yourself!! I hope you keep the pink crochet pot holders. They are soooo pretty. ♡♡ I have been collecting music boxes!! There was a tin on the table that food item came in it. Only top portion was the music box. I have two music lids. ="(

I think the trumpet in the metal vase might be part of a Epergne Vase which is 3 trumpets in a bowl - but that is a pretty one.

I have only seen one of your video's this is the second but I wanted to comment on the first one I saw and that was the bins. I saw you got asked to leave for filming. I don't know if you have seen "What the Hales" or not but he and George were just kicked off the property of a storage unit auction because they said he was filming too. What is going on with these people? Everyone is filming now a days?. You should watch that and see what happened to them because it seems like much the same thing happened to you on that day.

Not positive but think they are reproducing that cloth covered wire. Yes the jewelry box has loose face powder..there should be a pair of pants to go with the jacket, later a hat pattern came out ,Mom crocheted and made several sets....If mom was sitting then she was crocheting...lost so much of it in a house several years after she was gone.

I love the potholders! They are almost all vintage crochet patterns done in crochet thread. Not sure if they themselves are old because the patterns are still available. I saw 3 knit dish cloths, one in pile 2 that was yellow and 2 in the last pile that looked like flower petals, the rest are crochet potholders. So many amazingly cute patterns!
