Thanks for partial information. It shows max ram capacity of processor. But actual upgradable ram depend on ram slot specification that available in manufacturer website.

Great information. My laptop manual says maximum RAM is 8 GB and accordingly I upgraded it to 8 GB. It turns out that the maximum RAM supported is 16 GB.

Update- I got two 8 GB RAM modules and fitted 16 GB RAM. Likewise I am going to upgrade my newer laptops that I have discovered support 32 GB and 64 GB RAM respectively!

@@atulbesra822 there's no point in upgrading your ram to 32gb or 64gb unless you are professional graphic designer or video editor 12 is enough for most of the work

@@almightyrohit2003, when I opened my laptop, I found that out of four slots that I was supposed to see, only one slot was available. RAM was soldered in the motherboard and the other two slots were nowhere to be seen. So the laptop manufacturer (Asus) had taken away the ability to upgrade the RAM that the motherboard manufacturer provided to the user. So one lesson that I learnt is, one should not buy computers where RAM is soldered. As for my reason for upgrading, I wanted to upgrade it so that I could run some demanding engineering softwares that need at least 64 GB RAM, in addition to high end graphics card, to even get loaded. Such softwares are used in Engineering industry that are often more demanding than graphic designing.

yes you can but second ram will run at slower speed to match the existing ram, so no performance gain and you will end up paying more for faster ram

the maximum amount of ram u can install is main , which is 16 gb ram u can upgrade till that , dont listen to others

Open task manager, there you will find Performance tab which will displays your specs usage go to memory and check for "Slots Used" then you can find out how much RAM is expandable don't listen to shopkeepers cause even they don't have full info about the product.

Bro...in my experience,i found the task manager showing two ram slots and one is available in my laptop so i bought a new ram stick. But after opening the back panel unfortunately there is only one ram slot is available.....the motherboard support 2 rams...but my manufacturer didn't gave second ram connecting port😔

That cmd command doesn't actually show the maximum limit of the RAM which can be upgraded, for example, for my AMD 5600H processor laptop, this command shows max 32gb RAM while I was able to upgrade it to 64 GB

Important: This doesnt mean you have 2 slots in the laptop that can be upgraded. The manufacturer solders 1 and does not give support to connect another 1. This video is only a software check.

Dude, my laptop from 2021 is not even a gaming laptop, its just a mid range overall performance laptop, and it has 8 ram slots and 128gb ram support lol. Im impressed with the motherboard inside that they gave cuz this laptop wasn’t even that expensive. Edit: But i only have 4+4 gb ram that came with it xd
