Just hoping in the future teachers watch the talent and no popularity. She deserves the 1th place on popularity but no talent. A lot of people probably says Esther made the program more entertaining and she's cute, but I don't see this show because of her. I like the show because there are a lot of girls with talent with a dream a lot of girls have the same dream. Kind of weird and unfair who someone who always stay in D class won the 1th place. Hope Esther work hard because her last performance only was joking.

She has also has a huge fanbase already and it's obvious that they are voting for her. Lastly, she makes this show more exciting and playful at the same time. But if you dig deep through Esther Yu, even in behind the scenes she is the bubbly, funny and cute Esther Yu we are seeing in the first episodes up to the last. as much as I adore the girl, imma say this as well, you said "Talent isn't enough without personality" , but it works both ways Personality also isn't just enough without Talent Her advantage is she is very very charming, what she has to do now is to practice and practice more so that her skills will be honed... Seth Hoe I feel like people are saying she doesn’t deserve to win because they view her as a ‘brat who gets what she wants’ kind of girl simply because she comes from a wealthy family. Personally I believe she embraced a goofy, entertaining personality to ‘fit in’ therefore she won’t be viewed as a spoiled brat to others. I can understand why she would, I would too.

She has big fanbase and her funny personality will attracts ppl But lets be honest, aside from her personality n her confidence, she isnt competent enough to debut as idol group If u say sing or dance can be train, yeah thats true, but it will take a long time, if it can be take in short time, then lalisa manoban didnt need to become trainee for 5 years in YG and spent more than half of her life in dance If only charm n good personality are enough to be idol, there are plenty much ppl can do it Everyone hv their own charm, most of trainees in youth with you have good personality too (except the 4 sisters) Its ok for her fans to keep vote for her, popularity is needed in idol group But, if her skills apart too far from others, when she get debut, she might be collapse someday or get depression

I love Esther and her personality. I do understand that the show is about talent, but it’s also about capturing the audiences eye. I love her fun talkative personality. She isn’t fake and speaks her mind. She is also very kind towards the other trainees and doesn’t brag about her life.

Before checking out this show, I’ve seen people say that she’s only popular because she’s an actress, that she doesn’t deserve to be there. I thought she’s really bad as they claim her to be, turns out she ain’t bad at all. Yes she wasn’t one of the most talented trainees out there but she definitely can sing and dance. She can keep up and she actually works really hard. Other trainees said she puts a lot of effort in practicing, also she knows she isn’t as great as the others so she actually works extra harder because while the others are already good, she just starts to get better. She improves every single time, and that’s because she already had the foundation. Haters really just can’t keep their asses outta Esther’s business. I got annoyed when i found out she ain’t even bad so why are the haters barking lol Ps. And after doing some research and observing I found out she was not a popular actress, other trainees our way more popular than her. Even Snow Kong, all the trainees know her already. Many of the trainees are already celebrities so claiming that Esther won in the show just coz she’s a popular actress is absurd. Don’t @ me

I wished they showed the part where she read the letter to her future self in the beginning of the video. I like her a lot. And even tho she may not be she most talented, her personality and ability to captivate a room is amazing. I hope she improves and proves to all these haters that she is worthy to be in the ending group. There are many different roles in a group and I believe she deserves a place in it.

If you are really watching the each episode of the youth with you, you'll see that on one episode she have displayed how mature she is, its the episode where in they decided who will be the center but someone from the group that she still wants to try to be the center but Esther handled the situation well so that there won't be a tension between the group because of the other members who keeps on insisting.

I noticed there are a lot of Esther's fans here, I suggest you watch her drama called "I've fallen for you", it has 24 episodes and is all available in youtube with english subs! The drama was so good that I've finished watching it for only a day and a half (Yes! I stayed all night watching it 😂) you'll never regret watching it I promise! First of Esther I wanna say congrats and also this girl seems happy and wants all the people around her to be happy too. She always takes care of her dormitory members and her members around her in the group performance. Her hardships have always been there, she never showed them to us and make us feel emphatic for her. Yes she comes from a rich family and she could have used the money to reach places but she wants to become some one on her own and she works really hard for everything she has now. Why is everyone assuming she is super popular since day1????? Comparing the fandoms of these two Kiki had a WAY bigger fandom than Esther. Yes she has been in dramas, she has been in the industry for 5 years, but she was not extremely popular! She EARNED this #1 and I am proud of her. And people criticized her for being cute,talkative, speak in a cute tone which is different from her actual voice...etc but She did response with a heart-warming reasons, she just wants people to be happy and laugh when they see her, so she keep on smiling, laughing and joking but many of them say she's annoying and she might be the burden for the group if she makes it into debut when the reality the members really love her for her hardworking and helping/encourage the group/members through their hardtime or when they feel down. That's why people shouldn't just criticize her because they don't like her cuteness but they should look at the other side of her which is very cheerful.

Actually, i wasn't surprised when Esther Yu was top 1, she has a huge fan base in China and she's so cute and friendly. But to be honest, I think Kiki Xu deserved top 1, she's talented and gorgeous. Esther yu never fails to put a smile on my face and I’m happy for her. But I was soooooo surprised that she got 1st and also was ranked 1st on previous weeks. I wasn’t aware of the whole popularity voting thing and I was just thinking she was gonna get a rank in the middle or something. I really don’t want to seem like I’m hating cause this was just what I felt. I loved watching her reactions to everything but I never really saw her talents and skills till I went on twitter to research about her after I saw she ranked 1st. I do agree that it is very nice to have someone with such a huge personality and charisma but it just amazed me how personality beat all other things.she is really talented tho so I hope she works hard to improve and show people like me why she deserves 1st. I’m honestly just so shock and I feel like I should leave a comment cause none of my friends watch this show oop. True, but when you think about it, seeing the other top trainees, she is severely lacking in her skills, so if she were to get 1 place in the final group, it would be really bad for her and the group because having a center as a person who is much weaker in presence and skills than the other members would lead to unnecessary criticism. I love her a lot, but I don't think 1st place would be good for her..

No don't compare her to Sohye please. Sohye had no big fan base from before Produce 101, but she worked hard for people's love. She was the butt of jokes for the producers until she got her shit together, not like the cute edit they give to Esther with every Lisa moment she has. She and Esther are not the same.

@@schokoru4577 Here's the thing. It's hard to improve drastically like Sohye if you are already put at the highest place like Esther. Sohye didn't get first place consistently. It's such a different situation because skills wise and ranking wise (sohye was an actual F while Esther was given more credit) they aren't the same. Not saying Esther cant improve, but its a different speed compared to Sohye. So yeah, just don't be careless with comparisons.

I like esther yu personality, being bubbly and friendly, funny at times, and cute. but tbh, when you watch the show we could see most contestants are very good and talented, also as to what the shows want the debut girlgroup to have. That X. Factor and for me I think there are others who is more appropriate Like babymonster, who is in the A class 3 times and even in the. Top 9 I think Yan Yu should be included also, together with baby monster she is in A class 3 times, even in her 1st audition the mentors like her and said that she should debut,.

I really hope iQIYI uploads Kiki's speech too! This top 2 is so good because of the contrast and foil. Kiki was so eloquent and wrapped things up nicely after Esther's hilarious letter. Queen of PR! Although Esther isn't in my top 9, I've accepted that she would have an inevitable spot in it, and at least she works hard, decently talented (she got D after all) and has a personality!
