The one advantage of estwing being made in the us is that we get these hammers for $25/$50. I’ll trade you one of my three or four estwings for a pair of Marvel cross cut pliers!

These Estwing al pros are more expensive. They sell for over $100. Up to as high as about $140

I sink 20d nails with two hits and one of them is to start the nail I use a Voughan 23oz California Framer with 18" hatchethandle and milled face and if I have to do lots of bigger nails I'll switch to my 30oz estwing I love my Voughan

Lmao a bunch of electricians here. A roofers hammer is certainly better for driving in long nails. Have you used the magnetic nail holder feature yet? It’s great when you are using the right size nails, though more for driving nails one handed.

I just bought a 28oz roofing hatchet and that'll flatten a cedar shake staple no matter how much it bends Big dakka

If you’re going to spend that kind of money might as well just get a Martinez they’re much higher quality and it has a nail puller
@AddictedtoTools Жыл бұрын
Cheers for the feedback mate. I’m definitely keen to try a Martinez. I got this off a mate for $200.

Crazy...they are like $100 here, and that's expensive. Titanium > aluminum any day. The dalluge titanium hammer for $120 is the best value for the money IMO.

$350 for a hammer, lol, I think somebody dropped it on your head

I didn’t pay 350. Also that’s what I do. It’s in the name 👍

@Addicted to Tools I get it I'm all for good tools, I have 3 sawmills, a fab shop, machine shop, etc. It's just there's a diminishing return once you get into the $100 hammers and above. A $350 hammer is not 3.5× better than a $100 hammer. I also realize we can a difference of opinion but that's much logic. Best Regards

I agree. What hammer would you say compares to the estwing which costs $100 though?
