Marvel's Eternals confirmed an original ALTERNATE ENDING that would have shown Eros (Harry Styles) communicating with the Celestial Arishem, that would have linked with an earlier deleted scene that would have shown Young Thanos as an Eternal on Titan. Erik Voss explains all the scenes that were removed from the Eternals film that could have completely changed our understanding of the hierarchy of the Celestials with Eternals on other planets, like Thanos and his brother Eros, as well as the mysterious backstory on Titan hinted at in Avengers Infinity War.

Agreed! For several years a bunch of folks were saying "oooh Thanos!' but they didn't actually know that much about him. I remember commenting on Starlin's metaphor of Eros embodying love and Thanos embodying death, and the important context to Thanos' personality and motivation that Eros provides. I got a BIG thumbs down as everyone said "the embodiment of love" was the dumbest thing ever in a Marvel movie, and NO WAY is Thanos connected to such a "stupid idea'. But I hold to my point, That WAS Starlin's bones of the story, and BAM! There is Starfox and my eventual vindication.

Maybe they could've gone with the approach Villeneauve is using for Dune and split the film in 3 parts. Filming them back to back and releasing them every year.

Seeing it in an IMAX theatre was awesome. The shot of the Arishem parting the clouds and appearing in the sky was truly daunting. You got a really good sense of just how massive he is. Then the shot of him standing next to Earth just made him even bigger.

Eternals is a perfect jumping off point for plenty of Disney+ Miniseries. 7000 years of stories they can explore to both flesh out these characters and build the franchise mythology.

Or Thanos being an Eternal knew of the seeded celestial and was trying to avoid an emergence by lowering the population. The weird gravity might a result of the planet having some of its insides ripped out and mishaping the planet. Instead of a mad titan sending the universes population back mere decades based on limited resources he was trying to delay emergences everywhere

Eros is the older brother that used to kick Thanos' ass all the time. Until Thanos increased his size and strength through cybernetics.

@@roguefrogger5823 it was only announced a couple months before Disney+. It started filming only a couple months before Falcon and the Winter Solider. They could've easily transitioned it over to Disney+.

@@mrshaheedmalik Actually before filming, Disney has the VFX team build a pre-vis which is done a year in advance to give the directors an idea of how the action sequences and characters are going to look like so its possible that the idea of making Eternals as a feature film was always the plan from the start. Also, the recent lawsuit that ScarJo filed against Disney can point towards the fact that the actors were contracted for a film and not a series so suddenly changing the plan from a film to webseries might not have been feasible from a legal POV.

It would have been nice if Eternals was a Disney+ series to more fully flesh the large cast out. Like an hour-long episode for each century the Eternals were on Earth, building up to the Emergence as a finale

A prequel series would be great, the options of human history are endless. Although marvel seem to plan each series at a whole with no plan for extra series until they know it successful. This limits the possibility, for lots of extra series follow these characters. Also I wonder how much Disney had to pay WB DC comics for mentioning batman and superman?

There is so much potential content. The eternals would have made such a good tv series. Sure you wouldn’t get the big scale effect. But it would have given so much more room for good stories

Since it's basically confirmed that Thanos was an eternal in the mcu I don't know why marvel didn't give Thanos his cosmic powers he had in the comics since all eternals emit cosmic energy when they use their powers but Thanos didn't have his cosmic abilities in the mcu.

What about the super soldier serum or at least the process? In the first captain america movie, they mentioned Vita rays. A concept we never heard of again in the MCU. Vita like life rays. In the Eternals, we learn that celestials, in order to be birth, need energy from the lives on a planet. Celestials then creates eternals with their cosmic energy, life energy. What if, Phastos, helped the super soldier program by getting them the vita rays, some sort of life energy, cosmic energy. Just a thought I had!

One thing about the Super Soldier Serum I noticed is that Steve was the only one who actually grew bigger from it, _and_ he’s the only one who got the vita rays along with the serum.

So many questions are raised towards the meaning of the movie. The directors cut looks spectacular. But what more could they have possibly added is crazy to think it's awesome
