I like Kooleen's art, but I feel like part of her videos are trying to form your artstyle into more of hers like "do this like this, and that like that" and there is a line between what to do and what not to do, but you should be able to do most of your art in the way you'd like it to be

It’s really touching in how you care for your students and really want them to improve in such a kind informative way. And while this influence question occurred, no I don‘t get influenced by artists all that much, I just look for detailed tips. ;)

Koolens are isn’t bad, actually some drawings of hers seem very beautiful and nice to glance at. But tbh, some of her artwork imo seems very repeated in a way. I totally understand that she has a sort of manhwa/semi-realism artstyle, but most of her drawings I see is the same dull character with a bored, chill, tired expression, no reactions or anything. But, I get if it’s the personality of characters, since she draws some anime characters with expressions as well. I would like to point out some proportions in some drawings, where the head is facing at a certain perspective, and the face kinda looks squished, but some drawings look perfect in perspective, which confuses me at most. But, no hate, her art is fantastic, and actually does have some good art tips! just some stuff I pointed out. Maybe it’s my eyes though, just wanted to see if I’m not the only one

One of the only "art tips" ppl i watch is ethan becker 'cause my style isn't really "anime boy" and my style doesn't use a lot of lineart.. so I don't have a horror story but i CAN compliment him on his good tips.. even if I don't plan on animating, I do wanna make comics, and tips on simplifying & shape and tangents are very useful in many ways
