We have priests and orthodox Christian followers that go to those churches every single day. I believe that Christianity in its purest form, is found in Ethiopia. It’s also the oldest Christian country in the world after Armenia.

I found my way here after reading "The Sign and the Seal" by Graham Hancock. He tells the story of his tracking the history and travels of the Ark from Jerusalem in 955 BC to Elephantine, Egypt around 650 BC to the island of Tana Qirqos, Ethiopia around 450 BC and finally to Aksum around 350 AD.

Maybe you're already familiar with him. But if not, you may like his other works, as well. Fingerprints of the Gods, Magicians of the Gods, Underworld, and others. They offer an account of his quests to unravel historical questions in an independent and methodical way.

Sorry to disappoint you, the Ark of the Covenant is not in Ethiopia. Documentation in photos and interviews can be seen in a German publication “Deutsch Amerika”. The Ark was given to Pope Pius XII by the Germans after WWII because the Pope was a German sympathetizer.

Facts are the facts. Read and try to understand what is in front of you. The National Geographic does not put out lies. What they do is set the record straight and avoid false claims for those taking advantage of Holy artifacts that create tourist traps. If you believe that the Ark of the Covenant is in Ethiopia it’s ok with me.

For the most part, they are kept in dark buildings with little humidity and they are covered most of the time with the drapes. When groups of tourists come through, the drapes are pulled aside only briefly.

Why are people obssesed with the Arc of the covenet ? Seriously, it's not even religiously important object for christians. Ethiopian Orthodox church just continuies carrying the pre-christian tradtions, as it wasn't exposed to early reformation like the other East and Oriental Orthodox church did. This doesn't mean that these cerimonial traditions are part of the christian culture, They are just unforgotten pre-christian traditions. That's all

Only a small group of scholars uncovered this and were under the strict orders to keep this a secret until the last one passed away. Read other sites regarding the Ark of the Covenant.

Fact is God gave it to man to show the existence of his being here on earth. The resting place of the Ark is in the Vatican. The reason it has not been mentioned to the world is not to use it as a tourist attraction. Read Deutsch Amerika a German publication that documents it delivery to Rome by German soldiers.
