60 Minutes, the most successful American television broadcast in history, began its 52nd season in September. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 is still a hit in 2020. 60 Minutes makes Nielsen’s weekly Top 10 nearly every week and was the #1 weekly television broadcast three times last season.
The program still averages more than 10 million viewers, more than double the audience of its nearest network news magazine competitor. The average audience for a 60 Minutes broadcast is 150% higher than those of the network morning news programs; the audience dwarfs the number of viewers drawn by the most popular cable news programs.
About a million more people listen to the 60 Minutes radio simulcast in several major cities and on its companion podcast. Tens of thousands each week experience 60 Minutes online. The broadcast’s segments can be watched at 60Minutes.com and on the CBS All Access app. Its webcast, 60MinutesOvertime.com, offers content originally produced for the web, including behind-the-scenes video about the production of 60 Minutes stories and timely archival segments.
60 Minutes has won every major broadcast award. Its 25 Peabody and 150 Emmy awards are the most won by any single news program. It has also won 20 duPont-Columbia University journalism awards. Other distinguished journalism honors won multiple times include the George Polk, RTDNA Edward R. Murrow, Investigative Reporters and Editors, RFK Journalism, Sigma Delta Chi and Gerald Loeb awards.
60 Minutes premiered on CBS September 24, 1968. Bill Owens is the program’s executive producer. The correspondents and contributors of 60 Minutes are Sharyn Alfonsi, Anderson Cooper, John Dickerson, Norah O’Donnell, Scott Pelley, Lesley Stahl, Bill Whitaker and L. Jon Wertheim.

I spent three months in Ethiopia on a Medical Mission and was so very blessed to have seen Lalibela. It is truly a holy site. As many Christians make pilgrimage to Israel, this place, too, should be a place of pilgrimage for all Christians around the world! The Coptic Christians here are such a beautiful people. I have been privileged to break bread with many Ethiopians who are some of the most devoted people of Christianity. They are a lovely, spiritual family of God and Jesus Christ. I wish I could return to Ethiopia even today. Despite all the horrible atrocities done to the people here, they are still loving and forgiving.

The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him (John 4:19-23).

For example he could have said something like Nelson Mandela was always awake before everybody else ... you'd sometimes see him walking around outside already dressed when everybody else was still asleep and he was looking up at the stars ... something like that but whatever . Whenever i have the opportunity to comment with people who say they or someone they are close to either knew or briefly knew somebody of stature , i usually ask them if they have any stories or can tell us anything at all .

I traveled to Lalibela last month from the USA. Whenever we got there first, everyone yelled at us to take our masks off. When I questioned why they told me faith and prayer will defeat any disease. I was stunned by the answer, their faith is beyond I can put it into words. We also went to a traditional house near the church and they insisted we eat and when they served us the food, they brought to us EVERYTHING they had, from the little they had. They do apply the bible into their daily life and it is very charming.

Welcome to Orthodox Christianity. We go to church 9:30am to Noon and then we observe the Orthodox Christian Holiday Observances and NOT the Western-Ideology-Changed-Materialistic-Commercialised holidays that Americans and U.K Christians lost their way believe in. We observe the entire week and weekend of our Holidays that includes Christmas which is in January, Pascha the original day Christ which the night of people stand vigilant at the Pascha Tabernacle as groups vist other churches. We go under the Tabernacle at other churches to recieve blessings of Christ and good fortune for the New Years. We sing in praise of "Christ rising from the tomb instilling light into the world he ras risen indeed" Come New Years we all recieve a House Blessing for the New Years, and Us and our Pets recieve a Holy Blessing to. A trip to those that past away the prior year to cemetery to bless them is done by the priest to. The Priest will always visit you if your in hospital a prayer icon card with holy water and blessing is given before they leave the hospital or person who is suffering. Our calendar goes back to the time of Jesus's disciples, we adhere to strict Fast and Feast and have an Icon corner in all homes facing East to the Holy Land. We dress as conservative as Orthodox Jewish are, we observe the Sabath as Jesus was a Jew. We have the oldest branches that are the Coptic to time of the Pharaohs, Ethiopian, Armenian and Greek Orthodox Church. Women cover their hair always when in prayer, and we use a Prayer Rope not a Rosary, we have Icons to remind us to strive and live a life in Christ through them we learn to be not followers of the Commercialized-Political-Selfish-Immodest-Loud and Obnoxious Disrespectful Western Way Of Thinking. But to live Modest-Humble lives the way Christ told us to, a peaceful and observant way of life. We worship Jesus and the Archangels, the Saints for help and pray to the East ask for gods interception and divine mercy of the Most Holy Theotokas Virgin Mary and her son Jesus. Women can choose to work, but as the bible adheres she is the daughter of Theotokas in every way and conducts the home and husband must respect her in her domain under Christ. While it is the man who shall watch over his wife like Jesus over his flock and provide for them. She shall raise children to follow Jesus's teachings and he shall teach them out in society the way disciples taught our ancestors. Its sad how so many never hear or don't understand why many are coming back to Christ and turning away from the Corrupt- Exploitation- Westernized-Noisy-Removing Holy Communion and Preachers That Turn Biblical Teachings Into Propaganda Of The Commercialism Times. They are nothing more than blasphemy, corrupt 'Place Of False Worship To God'. A Place That Should Be A Place of Prayer and Worship Should Not Have Loud Obnoxious Music , Inappropriate Dress, Women shamefully knocked up before being engaged, people branding themselves with tattoos and none essentially piercings, young baby daddy men and women with caked makeup on their faces. While they refuse to bow in submission when the church chants the "Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal Have Mercy On Me". Lor Have Mercy, Lord Have Mercy, Lord Have Mercy we pray while we prostrate ourselves on the floor towards the East at the alter of Christ and the Virgin Theotokas. We ask in sincerest humbleness, humility to repent to Christ and his most Holy Mother Theotokas facing East to Holy Land to pray for interception and Christ and his mother's forgiveness for the sins we commit in thought, word and deed outside of church. This also includes zero tolerance of Leftism Ideology and any Political hate group that says only their lives matter....All Lives Matter, and we are Pro-Life. Many Westerners continue to be blinded by false-churches that conduct themselves like a retailer to invest and lead Jesus's people astray. The youth drawn to excitement of the devils flame with so called "New Age None Denomination Mega Churches that demand you pay up or be shamed by others in church for being poor. The upbeat propaganda disguised as Christ's Churches, when in fact they are no more than false preaching and misguiding those that seek a none spiritual and none disciples way of life. I've seen these churches through the U.S and they mislead and change the wording of Christ to hook you in, and change the words of Jesus and his Disciples. I tell people come, come and see the true churches of Christ and his disciples, come step back from the misguided- Western-Politicalized-Judgemental-Money Scamming-False-Teachers Churches That Do Not Show You The Life To Live In Christ as a Christian. Come to our Orthodox Church your stepping back out of America, Out of the West, and going back, back, back to the time of Christ and his Apostles, the liturgy is that which Christs disciples shared during time of Jesus. The way we sing, how we eat, how we put community over ourselves, the way the Priest preaches, the way the service is conducted is like that of during time Christ walked the Earth. You are not going to hear gospel turned propaganda -twisted wording made by the words of a false preacher. But the True Word Of God when you visit the Orthodox Church. We have also no Pope either.

Seeing this 60 minutes piece made me realize that I'm a very poor example of what devotion to God looks like. I work the overnight shift from Saturday night to 7AM Sunday morning. The church I attend service starts at 10AM, so I use that as the excuse not to go to church. My Ethiopian brothers and sisters in some cases walk for day's just to worship and be in the presence of God. If they can walk day's to worship God. I can go to church after working the overnight shift. Before I leave this 🌎, I want to visit this holy place to worship side by side with my fellow Christian brothers and sisters.
