Even if Stairs are Built....fear of climbing will pull one down. For a person who has Faith in GOD, no stairs is required....

this is one of incredible rock hewen church in the world and no one has got problem of fallen or death. I am tour guide from abune yemata churchs the church is not much difficult visit and you will enjoy and will never forget for ever

No not because they can't come down It is easier for priest to come down it is just they pray for long that's why.

as Ethiopian i say their are more than 100 Church's just like this one which are carved out of a mountain and only few of them are recognized by the UNESCO hopefully in the near future most of them will be recognized, plus it's better not to bring politics and racism in Christianity because its a universal religion which is for all.@@royfortheworld
