2 comments in 1--watched "Greensleeves"---excellent and another stellar job with "Etude" 5* s ---Van P.S. Yes there is a lot of practice involved for a "simple" "study" ---I'll be back to check out more.

I'm currently learning this piece for a private lesson I have at the college this semester and it's great to be able to hear it to help ingrain the sound in my mind, I lost the CD that came with the Frederick Noad book when I got it last year, and this is the best I've found. You play it very confidently and clearly, it's a great performance.

I'm sure you can find the sheet music in many places, but for anyone interested.. It's in the book "Solo Guitar Playing" by Frederick M. Noad. Etude, not andantino.

The piece is Andantino from Carulli's Op. 241 No. 19. In Frederick M. Node "Solo Guitar Playing Book 1, Second Edition" it is called Etude; Node scored with eighth notes instead of sixteenth notes but it is the same piece.

Hey just a tip for this song, you might want to change the tone color a bit on the repeats, both sound the same and this song has a lot of really awesome potential for different dynamics and sound. Other wise great job. This is a song Im learning in school my self.

Carcassi op 60 really has some great pieces , number 16 is a lovely one in F and i love to play it but so hard to get it perfectly right , i hav nt it recorded yet but i m looking forward to your interpretation already ! i like your approach to your playing ,as in deciding on a particular route/method and sticking to it , frankly i find your channel inspiring and would like to know more about your practice routine and specifically technique work you do if you could share some time

Note: I am not saying you aren't playing it fast enough - you're playing it just right IMHO, although it's faster than suggested tempo there. My previous comment was just about did Noad intend this piece to practice rest stroke or free stroke with thumb. I am not sure.

lovely as usual , your dedication to Fred s book is admirable and excellent source to hear the pieces in the book being played , where are you on it now ? do you learn one piece at the time ? do you study material outside his book ? i feel you could handle lot more complex music if you not already doing so and the foundation you ve laid with all these studies you can play will pay big rewards . I gave into the temptation of trying to learn pieces i wasnt ready for , so now im back to basics !

It's interesting - you're playing all free strokes with thumb. I've learned it the same way. But I've just looked in the Noad's book and he's saying something like he recommends to use thumb rest stroke in *slow* arpegios, and free in *fast*. Not sure if this one qualifies as fast. Just pondering...

Andantino is different. This is called Etude. I'm learning this at my college. (Guitar major)
