Mate, I god damn love your use of client states to shape your own alternate history of Europe, and the way you clearly care more about fun and cool events (Deliberately having the President lead a coup and become emperor, justifying creating new client states) than just micromanaging everything for maximum tryhard/efficiency is awesome. So much more fun to watch. Subbed.

I've played for 600+ hours, and my development is nowhere as well spread as his was. I find myself forgetting to develop provinces and can at the end of 1700 find myself having "mountain" or "woods" provinces which I have like 7 development in, since I conquered it at an early point and more or less forgot about the province.
@YoghurtKiss
@YoghurtKiss 7 жыл бұрын
Well, the whole of Germany is actually around 1200 development at the start of the game, making it a region with more development than Ming. and lategame this number can be insane. But... Developing Germany... Fucking sucks... I played a Brandenburg -> Prussia -> Germany game not long ago... And my development was waaaaaay low in areas that I had controlled for 50+ years, since I never had the points to develop the provinces, since I was always expanding through war... So each province I conquered almost always was better than all my other provinces. End game, my weakest cultural group was Prussian and my strongest was Westphalian and Rhenish (which was the last germans I conquered in 1750) :P

One thing you could if you play a nation of the HRE is to tell who is the emperor with the information of alliance vassals and wars because many times it will dictate how aggressive you are ( for instance if the emperor is a micro nation with not a lot of allies you could tend to be more aggressive because he doesnt frighten you also knowing the fact that the emperor is the one who a lot triggers the coalition :) )

I normally play on extended timeline, my focus is never to blob or to do world conquest, it may be weird but I like to sorta play out some ideas on speculative history with what if scenarios, I also ain’t the best at the game I’ve only played a few Ironman games, one where my entire goal was to form the HRE as Austria and another where my goal was to get the French PU as England at that start during the surrender of main, the Austria game was much easier, but I found both to be more stressful when I couldn’t reload the game, I get really discouraged when playing Ironman cause whenever I make a mistake it could mean the end of that save, so kudos to those who are good at the game and can play Ironman, I’ll stick to the way I play which is more relaxing and enjoyable in my opinion

How did you change the name of your country when leaving the HRE? Is that default option?
@Swecraft1

No there's a decision that you can take to form Westphalia if you have Westphalian culture and I think it makes you leave the empire

+Kyle Johnson It's decision, you need to meet certain conditions and you can form another country. In this case you need to be elector or to leave empire. So as emperor was very weak (Ansbach) I decided to leave empire.

Subbed to this and would love to see the let's play. I still have no idea how u did this
@ObjectiveGaming
@ObjectiveGaming 7 жыл бұрын
Thank you ;) I doubt that i will make let's plays, I would need much more time for that and currently I don't have it. Also for me let's plays are slow, boring and repetitive so it's hard to amuse people and keep their attention.

how did you get your Development so high yet maintain tech level and idea gain?
@ObjectiveGaming
@ObjectiveGaming 7 жыл бұрын
I focus on ideas first, each idea gives you -2% technology cost. I slow down with conquest while I'm not ahead in time on tech, anyway in HRE you can't expand fast. Economic + quantity ideas give you -30% development cost
@Tauxv9
