In this video titled EU4 A to Z - I BULLIED The HRE With This TINY NATION I do a playthrough as Hesse in Europa Universalis 4 1.34 Lions of The North. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Hesse and I attempt to be the only blue country in the Holy Roman Empire. So, let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. At around 20:30 Hawk made a totally intentional gigabrain play by selecting the obsolete cavalry unit type. For those who dont know, its totally worth downgrading if you dont put cav in your armies since it makes your rebel cavalry regiments spawn with the obsolete unit pips.

Hesse has been constantly getting the emperorship within 10-40 years in my games. dunno what they changed in the dlc to do this; it's literally happened in every game I've played since the dlc dropped

They start with dip and start near other electors, making them naturally ally them which leads to emperor.

It's not that patch, each time I somehow disturbed Austria, Hesse was generally the one who stole the emperorship from them ^^ Although, I never saw Hesse taking the emperorship without my intervention, probably because if I don't attack the HRE, I never look who's in charge ^^

hesse is seriously no joke and i have no idea why, it became the emperor in the only 3 games i've played since 1.34 came out and was fielding like 21k troops as a 2 province minor lmao

Diplo rep in the starting ideas, it's a big help to become emperor ^^ Although, I'm generally happy to see them becoming emperor, honestly, because when I attack the HRE, they're generally a lot waker than Austria ^^

As Hisn Kayfa own every province with a fort at the start of the game in Egypt, Arabia and the Mashriq, as Hisn Kayfa roughly translates to something like "fort"

Surprisingly strong game for a fairly silly goal, large amount of troops because emperor, lots of allies and a good position to push to unite the rest of germany or even form the HRE. Could've declared to try and dismantle the big blue blob too though..

Hesse achievement hunting was one hell of a fun - I formed Westphalia and ended up becoming the protestant emperor; managed Voltaire’s Nightmare and a few others. Also, Hesse’s ideas are really good.

Hessen, mostly known for the death penalty, horrible roads, and a small village loveling names "death village" where every house is covered in brown shingles and don't have door or windows in the roads direction.
