In today's Europa Universalis IV video we will be removing all of the water in the world and replacing them with colonizable tiles, then giving every nation that wants it siberian frontiers to get it all filled in! Big colonizers like France and Portugal are at an advantage, but there are definitely ones you may not expect!

I'm honestly surprised that morocco has a special name for it's brazilian colony. FYI, the name "Granada Al-Jadida" means "New Granada" though technically should be written as "Gharnata Al'Jadida" or "Gharnata Al-Jadida" Source: I'm tunisian :3

Morocco has a mission to have a colonial nation in Brazil. This is because irl Morocco had colonial ambitions at the time of Sultan Ahmad Al Mansur Al Dhahabbi. His nickname "Al Dhahabbi" comes from the fact he conquered the gold-rich Sahel and he wanted to use this money to invade Spain with the English and colonise the New World.

The name placement code does some math to figure out the bounds of the region and tries to place as big of a name as it can within those bounds. The weird name placement of the Siberian tribes is caused by having a chunk of the province on the other side of the map split, that province's bounding box covers pretty much the entire northern hemisphere so the name get plopped in the middle of the map.

You always remove natives because they slow down the conquest of north america, while IRL the European colonization didn't conclude until mid-to-late 1800s. it's very realistic for US to only have the east coast within EUIV timeframes

Off-Topic: Been playing a LOT of Post Finem and Chewy’s Graphics and I am convinced Chewy is not human. Dude provides all this for seemingly free apart from KZfaq revenue (which i hope grows exponentially). I always love these not-so-realistic scenarios with wild colonization and such. Appreciate that you also put the mod in the discription so we can try it ourselves. I already want to make a few runs with this and I can really see this as inspiration for fantasy maps with how some of the borders look. Thank you Chewy! Oh no 😂 I’m in the EU 😂oh wait we have problems with to much ground water because of climate change is on average increasing yearly rainfall, but if it’s not fake news as things usually are, then Denmark will be able to earn lots of money with our world class tap water which is better quality than bottled water, we only pump oxygen into the water and the iron reacts with the oxygen and is filtered through sand like from the beach, no chemicals or advanced filters. But you can always take water from the ocean or a lake or river and process it into drinking water, more expensive but lots of water there definitely is 🤷‍♂️
