In this video titled EU4 Releasables - I Became THE ANTIPOPE As Avignon I do a playthrough as Avignon after releasing it from The Papal State and I try to become a great power in Europa Universalis 4 1.35 Domination. This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Avignon in EU4. Fun fact: in Italy Miao is exactly how you spell cat's sound (to be clear I mean "meow"). So I really hope in some sort of funny thumbnail or weird cat-shaped map border

Just a heads up... it's not all of the DLC. It's missing a number of DLC (like After Dark and Green Cities), as well as several content creator and radio packs. Still a steal, I took the deal!

Fun Fact- it’s not just HRE nations that can have the Pope come out of- any Catholic bishopric can (I’ve seen him in the Livonian Order before for example (but maybe I’m misremembering))

When I got it right except the HRE bishprics there are only the Teutonic and Livonian Order with a catholic theocracy right? So it's in theory not that hard to wipe him out completely it just takes much time and is kinda annoying.

I think once I was playing Byzantium, took a decision to unite the Christian world, which converted the pope to orthodoxy by chance, and they automatically became Avignon.

Fun fact: While, yes, there was an Avignon line of antipopes it wan't the first (rome had the first antipope) nor during the games timeline. The only antipope during the games time period is from Savoy =)

I recently played Miao. Was not too bad, starting with a gold mine works wonders. For some reason you need to take really weird terretory to sinicise, which I never cound be bothered to do

Quite nice national colour huh. Lotta small countries have real nice colours, wish the Japanese keep colour thing was more widespread tbh. Though also, there's some cases where I wish I could keep the name aswell because it's more satisfying but I cant ever say why I like this or that country name.

I mean, you seems losing patience even for early game setup, is the daily content burning you out or afraid the churn rate if you don't make daily content? We can take a day off if that means you have more time to do a well polish campaign, (your guides are very good tho)
