My two favourite boxers of all time, their styles, their compassion for fallen oponents and their charisma only equalled by each other. Michael Watson, Gerald McClleland fights reveal a parallel between Chris and Nigel that along with their respect for each other has made them friends for life

Same. I idolised both these guy's when I was a kid. Loved them both equally. I was only ten when I watched their first fight with my grandparents. I remember it like it was yesterday.

That brought tears to my eyes 2 men so fiercely opposed to each other in their hayday now with such respect for each other wonderful to see and you can tell what sort of men they are by their children and their ability and the way they conduct themselves....fantastic video

They shared something that no one else can relate to so it's great the rivalry is over and they are now friends. I do wonder though if they were both asked who won the second fight it would lead to disagreements and all out war again haha.

British boxing’s glory years 80s and 90s .. I remember watching these 2 fight .. you’ll never ever ever get them times back .. the best boxing rivalry ever .. they hated each other’s guts and we fed from it .. I loved Nigel he was taking them all on .. and years later I grew to love Chris .. 2 very very tough men

Groves vs Froch was our generations version. 2 phenomenal fights, one in front of 80,000 at Wembley stadium 🙌

@@paulholman8594 there's just more money in boxing now mate. Box Office is a simple inovation that was always inevitable. I remember reading in the Times or I, that Froch and Groves earned 5x and 3x more than the average Been and Eubank got paid. Fair play to them. Selling out Wembley, with a 80k attendance, showed that if the fight was on free to air, my god it would have done some outrageous viewing figures.

"When Nigel hits you, you stay hit" great comment from Chris Eubank. I remember him saying after they fought the first time " He hits mega-hard, I thought he was going to kill me". For a guy with his cast iron chin that's a telling comment.

It's lovely to see them understand each other now. Nigel was full of anger as a young man which gave him such an edge in the ring. Now he has found peace he can put up with Chris and his ways. Chris deep down is a good man too.

Chris was always at his most dangerous when he was under pressure, Nigel was so explosive both fantastic athletes and ambassadors for British boxing, glad they have both found peace with each other

Two great boxers and possibly greater characters. This was my era and the nights down the pub watching these men bash each other up will always be lifelong memories.

Had a chat with nigel about 22 years ago and he was surprised when i told him about the iran barkley fight and how he knew he won the fight in 2 seconds when they stood together when u touch gloves before the fight and barkley lost eye contact with benn for 2 seconds and thats when benn knew hed won ...but when i mentioned it to benn and many other things he was like ...you know more than me ..lol i was so honoured....thanks nigel 👍..

These two are my idols, as a young lad watching these two warriors, which that golden era revolved around, put everything on the line time and time again made me a boxing fanatic, I've loved showing friends of mine your fights, my dad had sugar ray, the hit man, marvelous marvin and the hands of stone, I had you two legends, Steve Collins and Michael Watson Thank you

Benn had a terrible chin - great powers of recovery though - Eubank was the one with the iron chin.

Nothing compared to Jackson and McClellan. Them two were vicious middleweight punchers, eubank and Benn don’t even come close to the punching power of those two, the fact that benn beat McClellan just shows how much heart he had.

I’m one of the few who has always liked both of them (even when they were fighting). When they fought, I did slightly root for Chris as I did not care for how Nigel conducted himself during the buildup.
