Today, we are going to check and test out the latest WIFI floodlight camera from Eufy... the Floodlight Cam 2 PRO. This is the first pan and tilt with 360 degree coverage Floodlight Cam in the market today. We will do the unboxing, check out its features, set it up, do the installation, check out the settings in the app and see its video and audio quality. Probably won’t for a while. Ring is like Kleenex or Chapstick at this point. When a general/uninformed consumer wants to buy a video doorbell or security camera, they instantly gravitate to Ring because they’ve know the brand. Ring knows this which is why they lean towards profit friendly features (subscription service) vs. consumer friendly features.

Love these tests. So in depth. A good additional tests would be testing detection at night while wearing all black and in the two person test wear the same clothes in one test and than bright and one dark to see if color effects who it follows at all

Thank you for doing this review. This product has come at the right time for me. I am ready to buy about 3 floodlight cameras and this product is a game-changer for me. I like Ring, but they have nothing to compete with this. For at least one location at my home, this camera will solve 2 application issues. I was very surprised to find that these are in stock right now.

@@LifeHackster I just bought 3 of these cameras instead of 5 Ring floodlight cameras. Traditional floodlight cameras only look in one direction, leaving the other areas unprotected. These guys are real game-changers.

Holy smokes! What an innovative product! Just when you think the bar couldn't get higher, Eufy moved the bar. Just one question, if there is movement at night behind the floodlights, do the infrared lights turn on to show the image? I'm assuming they do and then switch when the subject comes into the light. The other manufacturers better pay attention to this and try to keep up. Thanks again for all of your hard work!

The infrareds which I'm assuming on all 4 sides of the camera turns on automatically at night...so you will still get detected like in the start of the night footage in my video. When the camera turns to where the lights are, it turns to full color. Thanks.

I tried out a Ring floodlight cam plus for about 2 weeks, it worked alright, got quite a few false motion notifications. I switched to this and it's been fantastic, I live on 1.5 acres and my house is pretty centered on the property and these lights cover a lot of ground. The only gripe I have with this product is that there is no timeline feature on the app to quickly scrub through clips, you have to go through each clip. It's not a deal breaker since the motion detection on these is pretty good, but it would be nice to have.

@@donamaria1329 So far so good. They work great, only issue I've had is with my pool, sometimes my notifications start going crazy due to the reflection from the sun.

Great overview! I’m not sure why Eufy settled for the nest warning in the manual for wall installation. Maybe they could have included a curved plastic hood to snap on to keep birds out.

I think eufy has a great potential for fully integrated security system. But they should work hard and integrate their all standalone cameras to homebase. It would be very great.

LH, Without doubt the best review you've do so far, but that running man test was spot on! Would've been hilarious if you just ran around in circles to see what it did !😂 Makes you wonder why they brought out the 2k version of the floodlight camera? Price point maybe?🤷🏻‍♂️ Eufy has smashed it out of the park with this one and rubbed the competitors faces in the dirt, nice one Eufy!

Im gonna say this is prolly one of the best newest Security camera to date without spending the big bucks on Dauhua and Hikvision Pro set ups.. That tracking works very well and anyone trying to rob you will notice and be freaked out.. Eufy is starting to become the head of the pack in a sea of hum drum Home Security. I bought the Solocam E40 and have it mounted over my shed and has no issues with Wifi... Ring,. and other brands would have horrible Wifi at that distance.. also its a new product which will get updates in future.. I wanna see a long term review of this PTZ.. lets see how it holds up to hot weather, rain ,snow, hail squirrels and birds.. But im gonna say it.. this is the Best new 2021 Security camera I have seen

Actually, the neat thing about this camera is that you will not really see where the camera is pointing at. Most people will automatically assume that the camera is facing the same way as the floodlights and they don't realize that the camera will follow them even if they are behind the lights.

Great review like always. Looking to get this for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Hopefully they sell them for $199 fingers 🤞 I'm just curious, if Eufy was to go out of Business Tomorrow and their Servers go down, would we be left with Total Bricks in our hands? Might it be possible to do a review with this cam on the front of your driveway to see what it is like which cars an other higher traffic areas. Would also be great to see how clearly it can zoom in on license plate from a still image taken of a moving vehicle

Looks like it’s going to be an amazing camera after a few firmware updates to improve the tracking to be a bit more fluent. Wonder if it would help if it prioritised face tracking then human if it couldn’t pickup on a face.

Thanks for the review. A few questions. This is the only security cam I have ever purchased. If I want to record to a card i have to get the HomeBase? If I only have this camera and my phone is it functional like that? Do i have access to 30 days of recording from Eufy site? Thanks for your help.

It will only record to its internal 8GB memory, cloud recording (paid option monthly) or NAS/RTSP. IT cannot record to the home base at this time.

Well I got it, only major issue seems to be left side, very slow looking over the fence kinda get's stuck. When looking down looked superb. How are these devices set up inside the camera ball bearings? They roll on?
