Perfect timing on this video. I’m looking at installing new lights with a camera at my house soon. Just curious if you have to pay a fee each month for service with this camera the same as you would have to with Ring?

I haven’t fully looked into those options yet. Currently I can view the recordings via the app in the same day then they go away. If you pay, I’m sure you could keep them longer.

We love it! The lights are great when going out in the back yard at night and the camera is very responsive to motion. We learned we have cats that patrol our yard at night!

Hello. From what I read regarding the specs of this system it operates on 120-240VAC. However I’ve seen some advertisements state it’s 120VAC. So please tell me what your system has stamped on it. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the video A few questions for you 1) where is the video clips stored ? Will it store the info to the new eufy base station? Can you manually toggle the lights on/off(override) and can you turn on the lights and still use the lights as motion sensor without recording if needed? Let’s say for example: you have guest over and you need the lights “on” but some people don’t like to be videotaped

Great questions. The Home Base is not needed for this camera. I assume it uses cloud storage but I don’t pay any fees. Yea you can manually control the lights on/off, brightness, and color temp. You can use the lights without recording.

@@TightWadDIY There is onboard storage built in (8 gigs) basically 30 days of activation storage (45 activations per day) in December of this year the floodlight cam pro 2 will be compatible with the homebase 3 At this point you can not store 24/7 footage... but that may change when it becomes compatible with the homebase 3

Does the light switch have to stay in the on position 24hrs a day in order for it to work?

I've had this camera for a year and like it. BUT, just recently it lost connection (unknown why). I tried many times to get back online with fail. I then removed the device from the app. Now when I attempt to re-add the device to the app, it cannot find my wi-fi. But it can find all my neighbors wi-fi. Very frustrating. I hope I don't have to take it down to set-up inside. Any suggestions?

Try reaching out to Eufy via the app. They’ve been helpful when I’ve had issues.

@@TightWadDIY I was just about to… then the next attempt the following day, my Wi-Fi appeared in the drop down list. 1-2-3… it was re-added.

Drat if you don't have a phone to scan, it's not available to you, I guess. I just want a security light/camera I can use my computer, as I haven't a phone, any suggestions?

My computer has a built in blue tooth module. If yours doesn't, get one... they are cheap. At exactly 6:28 into the video, the QR symbol is shown AND directly below that, there is an alpha - numeric setup code you can write down. I hate those damned smart phones. I think that they are a dangerous thing to have in these Biblical end times. Take care

Most camera systems are accessible via a website too. They aren’t as common though because everyone likes the convenience.

@@tribulationprepper787 I think we will have much bigger issues on our hands IF we ever have electrical power grid failure. Until then, I will enjoy my modern luxuries and not live my life in fear.

WARNING. Intruder / Burglar walks up to your camera press the sync button for 10 secs then all your Eufy local & cloud footage wiped! Even footage on Eufy App…..

good video...not a great camera...i have 3. they can't keep their zones monitored, can't separate a lamp post from a human and are incredibly inconsistent day to day. im sure they will fix it long term but today, my google cams are solid as a rock.

Speaking of your wife's SPRAY PAINTING... Disabling that camera would cost an intruder about a buck ninety-nine. These things need to be mounted well above spray can reach.

The recommended mounting height is about 9 ft to maximize motion detection.

Im pretty sure he is not going to change the wiring on a brick house when the camera footage is stored locally anyway... spraying the camera only means you have to walk up to it to do that... in which case you will be seen and recorded already. You could mount it on the roof if you wanted to and a BB gun or a paintball gun could take it out... Where there is a will there is a way...
