After being postponed for a year, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad celebrated their 50th anniversary of operating the famous narrow gauge line between Antonito, CO and Chama, NM in August of 2021. As part of the celebration wood burning narrow gauge locomotives Eureka and Glenbrook came from Nevada to be a part of the event. It was a pleasure to see both of these beautiful locomotives from 1875 in operation both on the ground and as a passenger on one of the special runs. An additional highlight was being able to ride in and admire the beautifully restored wooden passenger cars. This was a fantastic event and I'm glad I was able to attend and experience stepping back in time!
