Remagen located approximately 21 Kms (13 miles) SE of the city of Bonn in Germany and next to the Rhine River is a very busy place to see much variety of railway traffic. With almost non stop action featuring many different types of Classes of Locomotive hauling a variety of both passenger and freight. A steam heated passenger service to Walporzheim from Remagen was operated by a single DB Class 215 Diesel Locomotive. International services seen were Switzerland (Probably Zurich) to Koln and also an Austrian (Probably Vienna) to Koln. DB Class 103s were typically reserved for these services. An abundance of other not so distant passenger traffic called at the station. For bearings sake from the camera point of view, traffic to the Left is the Bonn/Koln direction and to the Right the Frankfurt direction. Some trains had a very impressive rake of 12 or 13 carriages in tow. Remagen itself is well worth a visit if you are ever that way.
I do hope this video entertains and evokes old fond memories of the European Railway Scene of the era.
