Although England and France are so close geographically and historically, and have interacted so much in terms of their languages (English borrowed many French words), I find it interesting to see both speakers seem to have troubles with speaking each other's language in general. Of course they are in different language groups and have totally different phonologies, but other European languages are in the same boat.

As far as I know, flemish is a dialect of netherlandish wiich is a dialect of Franconian, the s is pronounced yes in the plural and singular, damn, the French heresy of not pronouncing the s is enough, which is already insane in itself, now the same circus in a Germanic language, it's not enough, no You can't forgive it, pure nonsense.
