European VelociCoaster? Gotham City Escape Opens in 2023!

In this video, we talk about Gotham City Escape: a new coaster in Parque Warner Madrid that opens in 2023. This Intamin launch coaster is the latest new coaster in Europe, and will be themed to Batman and surrounding world, including Gotham. It looks like it could be a European VelociCoaster! This new European coaster is sure to be one of the best coasters found across European theme parks. Gotham City Escape is due to open in 2023, though we're not sure exactly when. Regardless, we can't wait to get on this Batman roller coaster later this year.

Definitely! Between Parque Warner and PortAventura getting new coasters, Spain theme parks are a must do this year!

Man this coaster is picking up a lot! This themepark opened in 2002 and hasn’t had new rides like this until then, the vehicles are probably one of the most unique ones as they have the Batman logo on the headrest and speakers on the seats, cams recording you and big speakers in between seats and slightly slanted seats so you don’t touch the floor in the entire ride, it has been getting better and better constantly so I think it will live up to the hype as the 3 launches maintain a high speed throughout the ride, I live in madrid so I am really excited for this ride!

Incredible coaster! And I'm very surprised about one of the fan made povs that appears on your video, the holy transfer track one. I have been seen a lot of this tries to recreate the most accuracy to real life, but this is the most spectacular, from graphics, theming to the part of design with nl2.

Actually, will be three launches, first one after preshow and two more in parallel during the ride to finish with a spike. We are so exciting here in Madrid .We can't believe how lucky we are, after 20 long years , finally a mayor coaster, but what a coaster! . The batmovil stile train are beautiful ,we going to start about entry at the mansion wayne to get to the very especial station(surprise), and after the preshow , the best theming part would be the indoor we believe so , there are son cool effects along the track . Also there's a rumour about SALLY Corporation is aporting something of the indoor theming. Poison Ivy theming are growing from the ground, to trap the track and Harley Quinn will be present as well in some point .i hope i'll See you in Madrid soon, take care, A hug

WOW what a cool video! Btaman: Gotham City Escape is going to be absolutely amazing! The whole course with moments of airtime, top hat, zero g stall, three forward launches in different parts of the track and even an inversion never seen before in any other roller coaster! Added to all the theming and experience that is going to be incredible, there are many surprises that have not yet been revealed and that will be part of a spectacular experience on the roller coaster!!! Are you going to Parque Warner Madrid this year to experience Batman Gotham City Escape and the park? I hope you come and tell your impressions in another video!

I did wonder what you meant when you said a '360 degree inversion', as most inversions (loops, corkscrews, zero-g rolls) are 360 degree of some kind. But looking on the map of the track I guess you mean the thing labelled '360 degree twisted dive drop'... I'm pretty sure this is just a corkscrew, as is the one labelled as a 'flatspin'... they're just making up names! They're both listed on RCDB as corkscrews. For me a twisted dive drop is something like the descending roll on Iron Gwazi, but that's definitely not what's going on here!
