I know there's all these exciting young riders now that are great like Tadej and Jonas, but Garaint has always been my favorite rider. He wasn't even in his best form going into this race and he's leading it.

Almeida’s ability to climb in the final TT could easily cut the gap to G. That said, G’s best weapon against the youngster is experience.

Roglic has been in his struggling, spinning form since the beginning of this Giro. Always on the limit before the actual attacks even start, he doesn't have the goods anymore

Finalmente vi João Almeida a fazer aquilo que sempre esperei dele, atacar. Dos 3, João Almeida, Roglic e Thomas, João Almeida é o que está em melhores condições de vencer. 1 João Almeida de 24 anos, está em grande forma e tem menos 10 anos do que os seus 2 rivais. 2 Os Rivais não estão na sua melhor forma... E, sinceramente, João Almeida tem tudo para ganhar o Giro 2023. É o mais forte dos 3!

O Thomas está em grande forma. E veremos se o Roglic apenas teve um dia mau, agora que as coisas começaram a ficar sérias. O João também tem de agradecer a inteligência tática do Thomas e a cooperação de ambos. Isso fez toda a diferença.

@@serjao4: Hoje quinta feira não acredito que haja alterações nos primeiros lugares. Amanhã, sexta feira, com uma etapa muito, muito difícil e no sábado com o CRI onde inclui 8 kmh de corno-escalada com inclinação superior a 20%, vão decidir o vencedor do Giro 2023. Espero que seja o João Almeida e levar de vencida. Para isso terá de atacar amanha. Se for possível, ainda hoje! No CRI vai perder tempo. Quer Thomas como Roglic são melhores...

Though day for TJV. You give the perfect setup to your guy only to discover hes not up to the challenge. If they lose the giro like this it might be time to move away from Roglic sooner rather than later. Great showing of Thomas and Almeida tho.
