Video: Heading out to Brussels for the day from London St Pancras International onboard a Eurostar Class 373 TGV TMST (TransManche Super Train) or e300 for my first international spot for the channel. This is one of those train ride videos I've been longing to do, and with the sad fate of at least 80% of these units heading to the scrap I thought it was time get on some and do some videos to start off my first international spot.
This was an non-refurbished e300 set (3223/3224) operating on service 9114 to Brussels South (Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid) which stops at Lille only. I sat in seat 15 in coach 1 right adjacent to the power car, I managed to get some nice thrashing from the motor as this train has some of the most beautiful sounding motors. Even though this is not my first time on these units my only criticism with them, at least in their old non-refurbished state is the mediocre seat-to-window arrangement, which is similar to the 390 Pendolino issue (as you may notice at the start of the journey I struggled to find a decent position for the camera). Other than that the seats are really really comfortable, so much so I almost fell asleep while recording this.
