Eurovision grand final to air amid protests over Israel's participation

Ай бұрынMusic fans are getting ready for Saturday's grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden, but this year's contest has not been without controversy. Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators protested in Sweden on Thursday against Israel's participation in the competition. Charlotte Gallagher with BBC News, a CBS News partner, has more on the competition.

🙄 I don't know why I bother watching American reports about Eurovision 🙄. The Crotian song is about leaving the countryside for the city, a phenomenon that is causing depopulation of several areas in The Balkans. A quick Google search would have prevented these ladies from looking misinformed.🙄😒

they weren't banned, they withdrew their EBU membership last 2021. They can always join as long as Russia renew their membership

Russia's invasion of Ukraine was an unprovoked assault. It is not a fair comparison for Ukrainians who did not provoke Russia in any way to attack them with the current Israeli retaliation happening after October 7.

as usual oblivious americans...thinking their superbowl or grammy are the largest....nope....its whole continent (plus australia and some mediterranean countries) by the way, american idols came from original british (pop idol), which both brit simons got that idea from eurovision, and actually eurovision came from italian san remo few years earlier nemo won! both swiss nemo and croatia baby lasagna are equally good to me....
