I watched it on television, it sounded bad.. i have no idea about vocals and music but you could tell that she was out of tune. I thought I was not hearing well but, then a lot of people said the same. I still love her music but no one can deny that her vocals sounded bad on that day

What's supposed to happen is the backing music having another vocal "track" in tune with the original vocals, that the auto tune then applies to Madonna's singing. Somehow it was programmed with the entire track being too low. Did you notice in the live broadcast video that every single note seems to be a little too deep? Statistically, there's no way she missed EVERY note by the same amount (though she does audibly miss a little bit here), so it's something wrong with the auto tune, and that got corrected on the version on her channel

I think this was intentional? I mean the whole presentation of her in black with the monks stealing her show: I understood that as symbolizing the triumph of faith over idolisation.
