Жыл бұрынThe Eurovision song contest first began in 1956 with seven countries contesting. Since its beginning, a total of 52 countries have participated in the hopes of becoming a champion. Of all the countries that have sung their lungs out for the coveted prize, Ireland and Sweden have won the competition more than any. As of 2023, Ireland and Sweden has taken the crown a total of seven times. Across Europe, millions of individuals tune in to watch the contest.
The first repeat winner was the Netherlands, completed in 1959. France was the first country to win three times (completed in 1962), four times (completed in 1969), and five times (completed in 1977). Ireland was the first country to win six times (completed in 1994) and seven times (completed in 1996). The first country to win two consecutive contests was Spain, from 1968 to 1969. The first country to win three consecutive contests was Ireland, from 1992 to 1994.

I think that with the same number of victories, those who participated less in the competition should be ranked higher(Fewer participations means fewer chances)

Fact: for 16 straight years, from 1996 to 2011, there were no repeat winners. In fact, from 2001 to 2008, each winner was a first-time winner.

Sweden has alot of wins since 2000. Ireland has non.

Yes I know, that is why I want Sweden to be in top 1 and Ireland in top 2 when they are in same place

@@verainget3379 The only reason Ireland is above Sweden is because Ireland has four runners-up places and Sweden and only one 2nd place. But it's true that Ireland hasn't been very successful at ESC for the last 20 years.
