I remember one line in her book and it stuck with me like glue. She said that the soap given to her in the camp were made from body fat of other dead prisoners. She had countless nightmares of her mother asking: "why are you showering by using me?" It was so inhumane and horrendous. I couldn't believe she had the power to forgive such an autrocity. Mad respect and empathy for her.

Apparently this is a myth. The current consensus is that the Nazis never manufactured soap using human body fat and most WW2 historians now believe that the Nazis deliberately circulated such rumours in order to terrorise and torture camp inmates. And clearly it worked.

The fact that a Jew would forgive a Nazi even though her life would have ended at a young age is very incredible. Matthew 5:44 ( King James Version ) It can be very difficult to respect someone who's cruel. But when people move forward instead of being stuck in the past, perhaps forgiveness is possible.

“May we never forget.” This is something that we say on Remembrance Day for the fallen soldiers. Now, I say it for the innocents, either the citizens caught in the crossfire of WW1, or the victims of the concentration camps in WW2, or even the victims of discrimination in modern times. To them I say “May we never forget.”

My son Timothy bell has been missing 18 months disabled son in the hands of wicked people and a.p s. Is not what they claim to be, they hurt him in there group homes ,nursing homes and drugs and I can't find him cause they put me in jail when I tried to find him. And charged with things they are doing, I would. Not do, I love him and heartbroken crying help me God and most of all help him who is so defense less .it's my own personal nightmare in indpls, Indiana. But nobody cares about or believes me. And I am only asking for your. Prayers for my mute autistic son Timothy, thanks. You see oppressors are still around to torment and kill the innocent today, they just call themselves adult.protective service, and bdds. And fancy titles sound so good but there still selling people for there own government money is quite. Lucrative. And I know of a young woman who had a baby was alive but her boyfriend had drugs and they came to her house and took her healthy baby, and she fought to get her child but they were trying to charge her for the infants death cause baby died in hands of child protection services who they.put baby with did not feed or care for. She was crushed and emotional wreck the mother found out her healthy baby is dead. But she is told she can go prison for what they the state indiana did to her. Baby. Now you see why I'm so scared what has happened to my son Timothy cause no family is ever allow see him, why. Sorry I just pray God someone else help.

That was an eye-opening story. The power of forgiveness truly opens everything to you as new and frees you. In one of her older answers on Quora about 6 years ago, she said that "if you decide to live, then you will live. Forgiveness is a way of self-healing." And the same goes with anything else, if you decide to free yourself, achieve something, overcome something, be something, have something, or do something with the power within yourself that comes from will and forgiveness you'll have no restrictions or limits to stop you from being, doing or having them. She is a true inspiration.

I've always been interested in world war two, specifically the holocaust, and the history behind the devastating acts of german nazis. But I always feel a sense of shame, as I am german. I shouldn't because it was a dark past in our history but I still feel a lot of guilt no matter if I remind myself that this was a historical event, and since then, germany has changed. Eva Kor was a strong woman with a big heart, if it wasn't for her, we wouldn't get these first hand accounts from survivors. I'm sad that as years go on, we are losing more and more people who lived through world war 2.

The generation today in Germany is not at fault. You are not at fault. You shouldn't feel guilty about what had happened because you have done nothing wrong. The only thing you can possibly do wrong is not talking about it. Forgetting about it, not passing the knowledge on and just acting as if it never happened. That would be the real crime and you would kill the victims of the Holocaust a second time. It's very important to keep remembering and to keep educating, especially as germans. Germany should always remember every world war two crime and thus prevent history to repeat itself ever again. Yesterday was the remembrance day of the Reichspogromnacht. I hope many people lit a candle and thought about it🥺

Dear eva I feel so much love and respect for you, I am sorry you had to go through such hell and at such young age and your twin, but God must for sure give you good things now mansions in heaven, and it was good that you showed love is strong and hate can never win no matter how much the nazi's madness tried to destroy all that is good, you won they did not they lost and most of them shall roast in hell forever nazi hate with it. But you are strong and courage taught us valuable lessons here, I pray the world will not forget. Thanks eva my God bless you abundantly.
