Gonna be honest, I love how Savathun isn't just an ally that will always work with us. She's still an antagonist and has her own plans. If helping us helps her, then, that's what she does.

There is a rare voice line between Savathun and us when we clear the Lost Sector with Luzaku. Basically she praises Luzaku for being the only hive that undersrood the assignment which was to free oneself from the burden of following anyones whims but your own and blaze a path.

"Why are you letting your brood attack us?!" Savathun: "...Boy, did you forget about Sword Logic? They have Ghosts now on top of that and now they can play with you!"

She’s like the Vegeta (from the beginning of Dragon ball) of Destiny… she helps us in unclear ways then we have a love/hate relationship later on.

It feels little Savathun functions like an immune system for the universe/for us. Ultimately "on our side" and will fight with us to defeat a threat, but dangerous and willing to test us for weaknesses.

Oh how i love our love fight relationship. If oryx ever truly did return and was a serious threat shed help us kill him again. In sure she will with xivu. Shes so supportive. I think she feels like humanity is just another of her brood. She cultivated sol by sparing it from the witness and black fleet.

btw, i haven't played Destiny for awhile but i heard about the "Valence", the combination of dark and light being emitted after Witness was destroyed. @ 8:00 there is the string [Ne] 3s²3p5 in the frame. That is how you calculate the number of *valence* electrons of Chlorine. it means starting from Neon (Ne) and with adding these shells of electrons, there are X spots electrons it can provide or take (depends on strength of electron bonds) in a chemical reaction . Very cool

Savathun knows of the fourth wall that is the screen looking into our universe. “This world is just a game don’t you know?”

Savathun ironically is helping us in another way. Keeping the Lucent hive as one group instead of just many. Savathuns wins so long as her brood(her family ) continues on and with a friendly hive lightbearer. That is one of many victories.

If she is trying to leave the universe I think I know where she might go. The Gardner and Winnower played the flower game, watching as it played out. But when paracausal powers was introduced into the game both of them had to be part of the universe(garden) for it to work. They became the Traveler and the Veil, or just use those 2 as a means to interact with the universe. So what if Savathun is trying to leave to where the Gardner and Winnower are really from and gain power in that parent universe and truly make the Destiny universe her own.

Dude this is crazy! She is effectively healing the traveler by getting us to crush the lucent hive ghosts.

I just realised, we have both darkness and light powers, the Lucent brood doesn't. We only see then weild the light. Lucent titans = void, lucent hunters = solar, lucent warlock = arc. Savathun knows this even if we don't and is probably amused by how we have embraced the darkness. Hive magic is of the darkness but is not a power OF the darkness like Stasis or Strand are.

What if the Gardener and the Winnower are higher dimensional being, and Savathun is looking to break into this higher dimensional space? That's an interesting thought

Assuming Savathun wants to leave the Destiny universe for our universe then what she seeks is for someone to Mantle her (some Elder Scroll fans may know the concept, Hero of Kvatch mantled Sheogorath)

If we remember that Darkness is Memory and Light is Form, then Savathun trying to take advantage of the fusing of Light and Dark in the Pale Heart makes a lot of sense for the goal of trying to get into a parent universe. Why? Because using Light she could make a gateway, and with Darkness, she would know where to go from using the Traveler’s memories

I think Savathun might be after the Winnower in a way or at least find it.

I get the feeling that Sav is trying to become the mother of reality, her aim seems similar to the witness. But instead of making the game end in a blan peace. She aims to become the referee, the mother over both the gardener and the winnower. She wishes to make sure the game never ends. She has made strategy and knowledge her powers, she has written her self into the game theory of the very destiny reality. This guy likes to day dream that she mimics the guardians rise from the light with her rise from the darkness, like us she works with a balance of embodying both light and dark. But in adjacent to using this duality to defy she is planting seeds to inspire. We represent order a unified collection of wills to not be enslaved, to be free and to live. While it seems Sav is the singular will to provoke this life to challenge, struggle and overcome... to live. I think she is the narrative ying to our yang. Like the gardener has the winnower, the player has their gamemaster. Her version of the single truth is THE GAME MUST BE PLAYED. As the guardians represent/are the players, Sav represents the game-dev team on this journey with us, provoking us to play. Atleast that's this fans idea.

Maybe I’m reading into the tone and inflections of her voice from 2:50 on… she’s seems rather whimsical and wanting… like a longing with some reluctance or tiredness of her stubborn kid/broods actions. like she does want to be closer but cannot bring herself to express it… likely doing so in her ingrained way via sword logic and habits from her long life. Still looking to that one lore book from when she disguised herself as Osiris. The reactions she had at that celebratory camp fire with drinks. It’s like she does her best to avoid those feelings of care and closeness. So everything concerning Crow, especially her dialogue during season of the lost… was rather direct… given her worm was suppressed and even that was clearly laid with deceptions… but probably more in deceiving herself just as much as we as us and crow. She didn’t have to restore his memories, there was so much unnecessary acts she did that barely offered any benefit to her… Course she was/still the hive god of cunning… At most she’s still antagonistic, but not really a “villain” anymore but bridging into Anti-Villain, and this definitely started with witch Queen, even if she was without memory it still gave her time to give things a fresh new look with three fresh eyes as she watches us the whole time, as we slowly return her memory to her.

I got to say it Luzaku has got to be my favorite hive so far, honestly, I can't wait to see when destiny 3 comes out And hopefully I hope we can be hive as a species cuz the way this is going it looks like some of them are actually joining the Vanguard or possibly, highly possible God, that'd be so cool to play as a hive guardian

I think theres lore that some Ahamkara know that they are in a game and want to escape it and come into our world. Its a streght but maybe Savathun wants to do the same

I see it in the same way Arthur Schopenhauer, Immanuel Kant and Jacob Boehme did. The universe they are referring to is the place of pure potentials and the Will (things-inthemselves), the world of Platonic ideas/forms. The noumenal world. The universe of matter is the representation of the will. Therefore there exists a dimension we cannot perceive, where the objects we see represented are not the things themselves. This is how the Witness is able to reshape things, it's literally altering the potential form that gets manifested into reality. The Traveler is the tool for manifesting the will into the physical, The Veil is the 'reflection'/mirror/looking glass (notice how the Witness is always seen looking through glass in his cutscenes), of the Will itself, which is non-physical, and is between light and dark, like a prism, that transmits pure light into different colours that we can perceive. The Traveler itself is a representation of the Will, while the Veil is the wisdom of the Traveler. The Will is reflecting its own being via the veil, into physical reality via the traveler. Darkness and Light therefore come from the same source, you can't have one without the other. The Winnower is The Will's Principium Individuationis - The Principle of individuation - Multiplicity. Schopenhauer called this the Will to Life, the energy that moves things to live (the Witness observed this). Nietzsche called it the Will to Power (this is more like Sword Logic). "We take no pleasure in existence except when we are striving after something." “We all feel that we are something other than a being which someone once created out of nothing: from this arises the confidence that, while death may be able to end our life, it cannot end our existence.” The above is to say that as long as we continue in the world of thought, we continue to exist, as the Will is ONE, a union. A collective unconscious. If we exist as a form, this is MORE REAL, than the physical world, which is merely a representation. Representations are patterns, we identify forms in the physical world as patterns. No two trees look exactly the same, but we can identify them both as being within a certain pattern that makes up the form of a 'tree'.

At best, she’s your enemy of your enemy. At worst, she’s a player in this grand game that aims to win it all, or simply usurp the Winnower and Gardner to a higher plane of existence. Still, I think the writers *will* kill her off. But, not for a long time. She’s one of Destiny’s best villains after all. However she meets her end, her master stroke is bound to be astoundingly shocking, and evil beyond imagination. Still, I feel the Winnower and Gardner may give her the power she seeks. Only to watch as she’s destroyed by it. The two players may not like one of their pieces disobeying them.

Savathun is going to trailblaze a new path to expand the story. Fighting the winnower would be stupid and we already have time travel. The key to milk any universal story is to create separate dimensions.

From her language post campaign it seems like she want to go after the Gardener and the Winnower to free herself from their never ending game.

i feel as Savathun knows about our true enemy that being the WINNOWER and if what i think is true Savathun knows that only for us to get stronger and kill the Winnower is that we most get stronger much stronger becaue the Winnower is most likly where we are heading for the next chaptor is destiny's story

I feel Savathun wanted the witness to win until she learned the witness betrayed her her entire life. That is why the traveler resurrected her. She is a powerful ally but not really an ally. I’m sure something will come up in the future.
