evan choosing a strawberry cake because his little sister kept asking for it is the sweetest thing ever. it just shows how much he cares for the little ones and thinks about what would make them happy. he seems very wise and mature. you're raising such kind and generous kids.

Happy Birthday, Evan! Books: From a teacher, try “The Seven Professors of the Far North.” Exciting, well-constructed, white-knuckle, kids solving a very interesting mystery, but the hard bits are supported by adults, so it’s not very scary. My Grade Fours would bounce up and down as the kids got closer and closer to the solution, and there was lots of guessing along the way. Enjoy!
