Thank you for the video. Great source of workflow. One tip though - there is no need to go to Photoshop just for the frame. Stay in LR and go to the Print tab, under layout you can adjust a frame for your image and then don't "export" the image, stay in the Print tab, and "Print to file" instead.

My two cents, your editing videos are some of my favorite videos. They teach me a lot and you're a pretty good teacher. Please reconsider stopping your editing videos. It's not just the editing portion that is so educational it's the time that is spent explaining what was done on location or in camera to give you the proper photo to work with. That shit is priceless! 👍🏾

@@RanftEvan Can you make a review video for the cinematic pictures for this movie. " The Lady Of heaven" 2M views at trailer
@MatthewPalanca4 жыл бұрын
I'd also add that the cinematic look leaves a healthy amount of information in shadow. I find that a lot of people, especially in wedding photography, love doing a "bright" or "fresh" look by lifting up the shadows, but the end result is very photo-looking as opposed to something you'd naturally see in cinema, if that makes sense.

Photoshop also support applying LUTs to images. There are a few built in ones and it's easy to apply and then adjust as needed.

2:04 so analogue photography has a better dynamic range?
@zach.hanford4 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Film lets you preserve highlights much more than digital does, but is much less forgiving in shadows than digital. This lets you push your exposure higher(in camera) to capture as much shadow detail as you can, whereas you'd most likely blow out the sky on digital.
