Maya went 5 years without a spoking a word. Retained all that knowledge. Memorized all that poetry. I'm amazed. Her understanding of the human race is with such compassion. Explaining how we as human beings aren't able to voice ourselves. She encourages and inspires each and everyone to speak freely. I can relate to how members of my family are here now with me even when they are no longer with bodies. On the other side, we now can relate to each other in peace and understanding.

Maya is one of my heroes. I have shared with others many times her good advice that when haters attack you in any way, you are not in it. The person in you is invisible to the hater, they would treat anyone that way. Hatred is in the hater before they meet you. You did not inspire it, and don;t be surprised if you cannot make them stop hating. Bless them the same as you would bless a kind person, knowing you are not in it. Their insult does not have to land on your heart, since your heart is invisible to the hater. You are more than they see in you with their distorted vision. Do not take on their definition of you. You know who you are. Bless them and walk away. Think on what is good and lovely. Pay no attention to hatred. Only kindness matters.

My take away: Gratitude for the day. As I was on my walk, with a nice breeze, I thought this is MY gratitude for the day....enjoying the gift of the sun peeking through the clouds, the nice breeze, my ability to walk and enjoy the random wild flowers, the traffic passing by and listening to this, the beautiful words of mother Maya. Thank you so much for sharing. I take you as my family, a cousin encouraging me along this beautiful journey called LIFE.😊💜🌻 My plan of action: Don't allow anyone to put their poison on me by addressing it humbly as soon as I recognize it.

I have watched snippets of this video for the last few days but today,this morning I had to finish it. I have been fighting against my depression and anxiety more than usual and this whole video stood out to me the most but the main things that stood out to me the most was her story of rape and the silence and when she said how do you know life is not worth living… I am taking that in to try to overcome my struggles right now and to do my best to live life in the fullest that I can… I know their is a light at the end of my tunnel.I also can’t wait to be a rainbow 🌈 in someone else’s clouds ⛅️. I didn't think I would last an hour, but WOW! Her voice, her tone, her confidence, her words, her truth she is surely one of a kind. AMAZING!. I have so many takeaways, my top 5 are; 1. Let your light shine..."This little light of mine, I'm gonna let shine." 2. Prepare yourself to become a rainbow in someone's else's cloud. 3. Never blame yourself but ask yourself "Did I do my best?" 4. One person with God constitutes of the majority. You are never alone... 5. Modesty is a learned affectation. As soon as life slams a modest person against the wall, that modesty will fall off faster than a G-string will fall off a stripper. Lol... Humilty is great, it comes from inside out. It says someone was here before me and I’m here because I’ve been paid for. I have something to do and I will do that because I’m paying for someone else who has yet to come. My biggest takeaway was when she said to make my family bigger by identifying what I like about a person. Then, make them my family because of that characteristic. Making them family is a way of keeping that person with me always. I will practice increasing my family. "Thank You!"

Thank you for this video, this is what I needed to hear and see, my biggest takeaway is courage is the strongest virtue, its stronger than any other virtue, modesty is not a virtue. That you have to have a place inside that is for you and you alone, also that racial iniquity should not be tolerated in your space you have to protect your space and that we are all human we may cook or dance differently but we are all human. What stuck out most is where she spoke out and she said you should be a rainbow in the clouds be kind to one another that we have a responsibility to light someone's pathway that is coming behind us to encourage them to move forward. My goal this week/month is to complete my studies and prepare for PP Flight exam and pass it with a score above 85%.
