I had no idea about all the scoop stuff and the IDW comics. I just though he was a cool looking generic autobot from the universe line. Great vid, man

No character? He might not have gotten much exposure but his G1 tech specs, Universe profile and Dreamwave More Than Meets The Eye profile all portray him as a kind and capable soldier, always ready to help others. His motto was "Generosity is it's own reward". I liked how IDW fleshed him out by making him religious. He first appeared in IDW Stormbringer with the Wreckers but it's never said he was a Wrecker. That said, it doesnt say he wasn't either so I like to think he was. He appeared in the Ladybird book Decepticons Underground along with Quickswitch and Quickswitch. Interestingly, his Generations head sculpt looks very like that of Micromaster Knockout. Cool video. Despite his lack of articulation, Scoop was one of my favourite Autobots growing up. Nice to see someone else has an appreciation for the character.

I always say in the G1 toy videos that they all have their oddities and strange aspects, but thats part of what makes them fun and interesting!

To me, there's not such thing as a G1 obscure character. I loooove them all.

Not to be rude, but you loving a character doesn't make them "not obscure". It just says that regardless how well known or used a character is, to you, they deserf the same level of attention and fanfare as much as the "A-listers" of the IP. And I have to say, it is an interesting view point.

If you read the Ladybird Books Transformers stories in the final story the Decepticons are defeated thanks to the efforts of Scoop, Quickmix and Quickswitch. So technically those three guys won final battle of the war! The last few books in that series spotlighted a lot of guys from the '87 and '88 toy line.

He may be basic, but verarity wise, he's still more interesting to look at than yet anouther car-former. That, and how often (outside of RID2001 ) do you see autobot construction vehicles ? Also, 1:28, 3:40 I find it bouth interesting, and funny that BOUTH of your Holepunches are paint scrathed in similar places. Almoust like it's the same guy, just grown up.

Lol to be fair, the vintage G1 figure is from another collection. I do say basic with love. Some of my favorite bots are generi-cons!

I wish they hurry Up & do a Landfill & quickmix deluxes. They said a New quake is coming end of the year. Look We got new versions then of all 3 decepticon target masters. They Also have listings For triggercons amazon exclusive. Windsweeper & ruckus.I noticed the decepticons are getting done too. been 10 years since scoop < No Landfill & Quickmix yet. But sureshot is coming. maybe that is a sign. Also deluse versions of Chop Shop & barrage 2 pack. Retools of shrapnel & bombshell.
