After fixing the Evo's issues, we had... more issues... But then made SERIOUS power! Thanks to ‪@TrackstarMediaworks‬ / Trackstar Motorworks for coming out to dial in the Evo before dyno!

The EVO3 is a 7bolt 4g63. You can make upwards of 500-600hp on a stock bottom end. You don't have to worry about rods until you are above 30+ psi with a smart tune. also i hear idle surge when pulling in after making you last pulls. you should do a boost leak test to check for more vac/boost leaks. Love the Evo content, love seeing this car!

these kids dont know. he shoulda went with dsmlink v3 and did a BLT. been DSMing since jan 09. he will also learn that the III blows HG the easiest because of the cr bump. increase the power and pop goes the weasel.

As long as the tune is good and you have the fuel parts done you are good even at 28psi but it wont hold ..it will peak and begin to fall on stock TD05 16g...trust me owned many many evos and did all stock turbo and big turbo versions. Note however you can only make what your turbo wants in efficiency after that its hot air .Good work keep up the progress.

Few weeks ago I had oportunity to see genuine Lancer Evolution III in Poland, during classic car meet. It was so :O Gray / silver :) A bit smaller than I expected but looked so nice and angry from front :D. Now I'm going to get scale model of EVO III :)

I feel you on the Tourette’s Syndrome man. I have it also. Was diagnosed when I was 10 years old. I was really bad about shaking my head and making noises when I was younger but it’s gotten a lot better since I’ve been older. I still have times when I make noises and it gets bad but it’s rarer these days.

a suggestion on that evo3 oem aluminum hood. avoid a free fall drop. push to close it will save you a headache later on.

Get a Eagle Crank 2.3L an get forged bottom end from Map.. Stroker in the early gen evos are unmatched, i'm a 2.4L now but was using 2.2L an both were crazy in their own ways whether rev high or big torque

If you do buy a z06 be sure to buy a steel body not the aluminum if you ever plan to make it a race car. It'll save you a lot of headaches

Hey i really love this car for obvious reasons if you look at videos on my channel. I will say from experience please be careful with detonation with 4G63's. They're very knock limited on pump gas, so please please tune it with knock detection headphones.

So quick question, anyone can answer, is street tuning more efficient then dyno tuning ?

Everyone is going to say “a dyno is just a tool” ,and it’s true. Dyno can help fine tune things but most time time people just want a hp number. I can assure you a lot of people like myself have never used a dyno and are more than happy. I’m in GA and my tuner is remote in TX, no complaints.
