2 жыл бұрынLike my previous Level Up video, the topic of this video was chosen by a poll on my Community Tab. After getting second place in the first poll, the German Empire won the next one with 58% of the vote.
In this video, you'll see the gradual transition from the Teutonic Order, to the Kingdom of Prussia, to the German Empire, and finally to the Federal Republic of Germany that still exists today.

I think it would have made more sense to show a map of all german state (with prussia and austria). then you could have put stuff like the german confederation (the outline since it wasnt one nation).

Every time Germany faces a major loss they just come back stronger 💀, next major loss and they’ll become the galactic empire I swear. Regional power -> Continental Power (through domination) -> continental and world power (major leader in EU and trade/military technology)

During the First World War, you forgot to include the territorial gains of Germany in France and in WW2, Germany had north Italy as well since Italy surrendered and turned against the axis

@@Crimsrn both Prussia, Austria and HRE (Holy Roman Empire) are and where a part of german identity and culture. The HRE evolved from the German kingdom of Otto the Great.

@@Crimsrn Prussia is literally just one of the states, an important one, but for hundards of years longer literally Austria was considered the top Power, and their emporers who mostly also were those of the HRE with a few execptions also Held title of King of Germany, The hre itself is just a contiuation of East Francia, the HRE pretty much was Germany, its the "First reich" with the other two. Now direct lineage with the German empire and creation of the modern german state was through prussia and thats what this video shows, but there are other states like my own of Bavaria and we are closer to Austria in culture and history
