We now enter the second to last mechanic in the aim series, evasive target switching. This is one of the most important applied mechanics that directly benefits you in game, similar to dynamic clicking. The fact is, enemies move erratically especially at the higher levels of gameplay, and properly learning evasive switching will give you the edge in combat situations. Hope you enjoy the video!

Very, very new to aim training and I just want to say thank you for producing this series and for putting it out there for free. So many videos and content creators just seem to say a lot of nothing in their videos. In contrast each of your videos provides concrete information and suggestions gets straight to the point and usually suggests routines that can help us improve. Thanks from an aim training noob that's just starting his journey.

Great video as always. One thing that stuck with me was when you mentioned shaky aiming, and how many people blame their mouse control rather than their reading skills. One thing im wondering is how can you distiguish the two? Because i notice in all of my reactive heavy tracking (ground plaza, air voltaic), i actually perform well, but when it comes to more precise aiming (1w4ts, pasu, smoothboy TS, kinTS, etc) I struggle trying to correct onto the bot. What would you think that says about my aim?

Nice. Regarding sensitivity and FOV, how would (or do) you go about adjusting them when practicing a combination of different aim techniques in a 1-by-1 fashion? The thought of constantly switching your settings throughout sounds to me like repeatedly changing your clothes over the course of a full-body gym workout :^)
@RiddBTW

I tend to just keep things the same even if it's not optimal. Like you said if it's annoying to do then you're less likely to do it so I try to keep aim training as entertaining as possible

Would you recommend training the techniques in the order you present(ed) them and adding them into your routine one by one? Or is there a better way to work your way up to the more complex techniques?
@RiddBTW
@RiddBTW 2 жыл бұрын
there's no order per se, i would be paying attention to how you're performing the skill and use the techniques as a reference for what to focus on. maybe even make some sticky notes with the high level objectives and stick them on your monitor. the one exception is speed, that's more like pushing the boundaries of the technique you're capable of. pushing speed will deliberately make your flaws in technique more evident, which is a good thing, to basically continuously level up your aim

@RiddBTW
@RiddBTW 2 жыл бұрын
i already recorded the commentary vid so i'll cover this - if you're planning on that aim training session being your intense learning for the day then you can just go head first into the routine. play with intense focus for up to 90 minutes max for the session (taking short breaks as needed) and there will naturally be a warmup/cooldown period as part of the training

For target switching, I like to think of Time on Target and target selection as “Floor is Lava”, meaning, spending any time off target results in… pain. The faster you go from target to target the less negative impact you inflict onto yourself. 😊

@RiddBTW
@RiddBTW 2 жыл бұрын
there's not a lot of info or evidence out there regarding using aim trainers to improve your aim on a controller, to be perfectly frank. the assumption is that it's not as valuable, but there is potentially value that people have not yet discovered.

When it comes to target switching, are we fast flick and micro correction or a slower, controlled line to the target?
@RiddBTW
@RiddBTW 2 жыл бұрын
the "criterion" or correct movement is on the faster side, but how fast is going to depend on your ability to control it. if you watch ARDD for example in the vid, vs. scucchi, both top aimers but ARDD flicks much faster than scucchi.

Hey bud, I used to use spacebar as mouse 1, but my fear with that is that I'm never using that in game, and therefore not truly practicing holding the mouse with a light touch. Wouldn't it be better to practice and get good with as much simulation as possible of a real environment? Like holding mouse 1?

for me, the concept is to understand what absolute minimum tension feels like in your mouse, not to always use spacebar for shoot
