One of the best villIan's. A mad genius, a bit pantomime, a bit theatrical like from the batman cartoons, yet totally real & believable at the same time. Great chemistry with Ben as Sherlock..it's clearly some kind of love affair...

I watched this video before I started watching the show and the whole time I was anticipating his arrival and every time his name was mentioned I got so excited. I started watching Sherlock just for Jim Moriarty he’s my favorite villain.

Moriarty is so..so.. addictive! This character has been so well pulled off that an episode without Moriarty's appearance felt a bit off. (make that 'quite off'). The very thought of Moriarty might be alive , the 'he's going to appear from somewhere now! nOw!' was enough to excite me!! love it

The only problem with watching this in 1080p is you can see the imperfections in the green-screen backgrounds. It kinda breaks the suspension of disbelief, for me anyway :/

Loved Moriarty's character, but can't help but think that his suicide is WILDLY implausible. His reasoning was: (1) As long as I'm alive, there's a way to call off the killers; (2) So I'm gonna kill myself, which will force Sherlock to die too! But why not take the obvious alternative path of staying alive and not calling off the killers lmao like what could Sherlock possibly have done to persuade Moriarty? Humongous blot to an otherwise exciting episode
