I have recently fallen back into this rabbit hole of Sherlock, and your content is brilliant! It's been some time since I last watched Sherlock in its entirety, so someone may need to refresh my memory - my interpretation of Sherlock and Watson entering the restaurant at 2:23 was that the window table is indefinitely reserved for Sherlock, which is why the "Reserved" card just stays there all day? No need for him to call ahead, that just is Sherlock's table.
