Evelyn Farkas, Executive Director of the McCain Institute at Arizona State University, shares her insight on G7 leaders agreeing to send Ukraine $50 billion from frozen Russian assets, and President Zelenskiy asking for additional fighter jets & the ability to use US weapons in other areas. She also talks about the 10 year security agreement President Biden and President Zelenskiy signed, and breaks down whether or not this agreement is something former President Trump can break if he is elected later this year. Evelyn speaks with Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power."

The Constitution provides, in the second paragraph of Article II, Section 2, that “the President shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.” Thus, treaty making is a power shared between the President and the Senate. In general, the weight of practice has been to confine the Senate’s authority to that of disapproval or approval, with approval including the power to attach conditions or reservations to the treaty.

This lady has a very abrasive tone. “He wanted tanks and we said no, then he got them.” He, is zelensky, the elected leader of Ukraine, defending itself from invasion by Russia. “He has a long history of asking USA for things” yes, to defend his country because USA is not upholding the Budapest memorandum.
