I've also found that if you blow on the timer during the solve, the timer thinks it is moving fast, so you get a tiny bit of extra dilation.

at 2:42, a good solution for this is to instead be spinning, with you and the cube at the center of rotation while the timer is close enough for you to be able to reach it when you’re done solving, (i estimate about 1 meter). if you average 15 seconds and want to average instead 14 seconds, then you simply have to spin at around 3053628059000000000 rpm

But if you hold the cube higher and the timer lower, then you may be a bit faster because there is more time dilation, however, if you do so, you have more distance in between you and the timer, meaning you have to move a longer distance to stop the timer, which probably means you take more time to stop it. According to my calculations, (hopefully they're correct) it will take more time for an average person to move a distance of 1.8 m (assuming that is the average height), including the use of gravity, than the amount of time time dilation saves during that time. So basically, I think it will make you slower (not physically) the more distance you have in between you and your cube. So the best solution would be to be way up in the air, and cube there, while you have the timer down on Earth (at the bottom of the ocean if it's possible) and have a long stick that is so close to your hand, so that when you press that stick, it connects down to Earth and stops the timer there. (If that's even possible) Sorry for the long comment.

with time dilation n gravity n stuff, the more massive an object the greater its acceleration of gravity, so the less massive (lighter) your cube is the less gravitational acceleration it would experience, and the more massive (heavier) the timer is, the more gravitational acceleration it would experience, so yeah, MAKE HEAVIER TIMERS SPEEDSTACKS btw i love how you added all this physics stuff to this, it made me very happy, as physics and cubing are 2 of my favorite things, so yeah, this made me laugh a lot, really good vid dude, absolutely loved it, youre an absolute legend, cant wait for you to hit that big 1mil :D

Dylan, you missed out on this : First I need you to somehow behave as an actual wave, then approach any black hole’s event horizon as time completely stops once you cross it. Start your timer, and throw it with the speed of light into the event horizon ,so that just a few MicroSeconds pass. That would mean the timer still shows 0.000; then solve your cube outside the horizon and since you’re a wave ,you can exist at two points simultaneously. Let your other counterpart in the horizon take care of the timer whilst you’re outside. This way you solve your cube in 0 seconds lol! Either ways ,I was really glad to see a small yet interesting discussion from relativity in a cubing video, you did a really good job trying to connect the two topics and the flow of the overall video never felt bizarre at any instant :D

well the timer traveling at speed of light should do the trick alone.
@ImmortalKnightCubing
@ImmortalKnightCubing 2 жыл бұрын
@@joonalehtinen5462 makes sense too ;) the only downside being if you don’t throw it in the horizon, then in just say 0.5s, the timer would already be around 150,000km away , and we can’t extend that far as one single wave. But if you throw it in the horizon, as time stops,it can’t travel any further ,thus your other part of the wave will have access to stop it. Obviously if I assume we are an infinitely spread wave, your reply does the job!

Another reason lower elevation = faster times is because the force of gravity as you move further away from earth doesn't decrease linearly, but rather it decreases quadratically. So the lower elevation you are the bigger the difference in gravity between the timer and your cube, and hence the bigger the difference in time dilation between your cube and timer.

Since the few hours when the video came out i started practising on my time dilation skills. And you might think “he wont improve that much” and you would be totally wrong. Before my 3x3 pb was 12.69 seconds and now it is 6.94 seconds. I 100% recommend you should also try this!
