You came up on my recommended, and watched your one man band video. A lot of respect to you sir, I am going through the same as well juggling a lot of things by myself. Journey is not an easy one but I am sure it will be rewarding in the end. All the best

I can really relate to the thing about going to a location and quickly having to just KNOW the best way to place the equipment. Even worse is when the client follows along and throws the "well, you're the professional........." and expects me to just instantly being able to decide. I've been doing this for 20+ years and even with all that experience, I have to be at the place for 15-30 minutes FEELING the energy of the place and THINKING about different ways of extracting the most from the location (yes, I know it sounds a bit woo woo) but that's how I work. I primarily work on intuition and I'm absolute not afraid of breaking all the text book rules and just trying different things out, but the feeling of the client waiting for me to just "bam bam bam" spit out the solution within seconds, puts somewhat of a pressure on me.

It's weird how some clients want the most amazing video but then do nothing to help you achieve that. They think it's as simple as pulling out an iPhone and calling action. There is so many little problems that pop up and you have to adapt to each and everyone of them calmly and not sacrifice quality. There is always pressure, I just like to solve as many problems up front so the pressure isn't overwhelming. Also most locations aren't visually appealing at all. Like you said its all intuition and feeling of where to put the camera so you can elevate the frame. The more you do it the easier it becomes. Great thoughts!
