Side note, get a 6ft black PVC tube that is just big enough to slide your cross bar in, take the stress off the weight. I do that for mine, works great and costs $4 !

Question, if you have a back hair light, why light the background? Wouldn’t the BG light do the same?

You might be able to plug in some dummy hdmi plugs into your hdmi splitter to get rid of those color bars for input 3 and 4 Also, i didnt see you recording on the Ninja but if you do make sure you interpret the ninja footage in davinci as a full signal and not video so the dynamic range doesnt get crushed What conversation lut did you use? That looks pretty contrasty

Use should get the zoom f6 that way you can tie in all your audio to that.. and now that you have the fx6 you don’t need no tentacle sync because the fx6 outputs the time code!

I used to shoot solely s-cinetone on my FX3 because shooting log/grading was a bit intimidating. Switched to slog3 now for everything and I've not looked back. Particularly like the flexibility you get with the base iso's, especially since I do a fair bit of event work where lighting can be varied. I just throw on a rec709 conversion lut in post and fine tune from there. Works a charm and gives me a lot more control over the look, more dynamic range and higher base iso's. Love your work man!

Congrats on the FX6! I primarily shoot Slog 3 unless a client specifically asks for Cinetone or if I’m handing off footage. I go from Slog3 to Rec709 using Phanton LUTs. For ultra fast turnaround though (corporate, social media) Cinetone is great! - Look up Alister Chapman - he shares some really valuable insight on how to expose for each and optimize the exposure tools within the FX6 to get the best results possible. Hope that helps! Cheers!

Yo welcome to the the Sony fx6 family!! Lol love that setup. I cherry pick from Mayfield and Cam Mackey. How do you like the atmos monitor? I used it for a week but I got annoyed because it took so long to boot up. I ended up buying the SmallHD 502 bright.

I'm still not decided I get FX6 as my A-cam and downgrade my A7IV to b-cam. OR get another A7IV or get ZV-E10 II as b-cam. I hope this year sony introduces FX6 mark II, so either original FX6 get cheaper or the new one would be a must have :D.

Slog 3 in camera and put one of our LUTs on in post. Good choice using the a7IV as a B-cam versus using the FS7. The colors are going to match way better if you’re using the same color profile on both cameras.

These types of jobs have been my bread and butter the last few weeks. As an entrepreneur who came into photo/videography. Landing clients as a freelancer comes down to a mixture of things where I’m located, networking, cold outreach, referrals, a good marketing strategy and a good understanding of your clientele’s needs. Be professional, proactive and a problem solver and clients will sing your praises to other clients and hire you for multiple jobs.

great vid! I have an A74 as well but I have trouble with overheating! I got a V90 card and still get it! but I did get a ulanzi fan to help and so far so good but was wondering if your unit had any trouble in the sun and what your settings were?

My a7 IV never overheats when I am shooting inside doing long interviews. And I never had it overheat on me even when I was shooting outside for long periods of time. It only overheated on me once and it was like 95 degrees out and there was no shade. I guess I have been lucky with it so far. I was shooting 4k 60 frames as well. I guess is to stay out of direct sun as much as possible and turn off the cam when you don't use it. I have the Sansdisc extreme pro cards 300mbs v90 cards, so that might be helping me as well

@Stolishadji
@Stolishadji 2 ай бұрын
There’s no easy or right way to get clients. Just do work. Even if you have to do jobs that’s are free or low pay to build up your resume. Work will lead to more work. It sucks when you start off but once you get momentum and a pool of work, it’s great. Reach out to small businesses see if they have a need. Shoot a promo or commercial or a passion project on your own time to show people what you can do. Keep at it and get creative.
