The Nintendo Switch is one of the best Handhelds short of a SteamDeck. It's trendy but not without its issues. I got one for my birthday and was disappointed to discover I'd need a subscription to access the Nintendo back catalogue of retro games. So for Christmas, My wife bought me an Evercade Handheld. I own a og switch and oled and nowadays rarely use them, I refuse to pay * yet another * subscription to anything but then again the high price per game of the evercade doesn't appeal either, For me the best hand held retro experience is using a STEAM DECK with retrodeck

Yeah the Steam Deck is on my list to get. Combined with a something like Retrodeck, it could become the ultimate retro handheld I’m sure.
