Commenting after reading Umu’s post on twitter for feedback. I feel like people forget that Umu has to (for the sake of her channel) listen to way more KPop than people realise. Most of us listen to a few groups, and are absolute fans of 2, 3, maybe 4 groups or soloists. But Umu has to listen to allllllllllll of it. So yeah, of course she’s going to be hearing the same stuff sometimes, or gimmicks used by the producers/composers. It’s as much her opinion as a straight fact. Music trends, which makes listeners like a kind of composition or « sound », but with as many comebacks a year KPop has as a whole, hearing the same stuff in a slightly different way is a given. And in no way am I hearing Umu being disrespectful in this video, during the whole song she was bopping her head and smiling, and even at the end when she explained that everglow uses « all that works in KPop right now », she’s just explaining to us, the audience, that this is why we love the song, because this is something that works a lot and has worked in the past. Anyway, I think people are very quick to judgment especially in KZfaq comments, some proof being every single time Umu responds to a « bad » comment, the person responds with a « oh sorry for being rude, I didn’t expect you to answer ». People. Don’t be rude in the first place, use empathy, try to understand why Umu says the stuff she says, and that everyone is entitled to having an opinion. Thank you and have a good day everyone

Since Adios, they really like the dominant chord. They just hang around there with no buffer! Gives Everglow a rly discern style and I love it!

In terms of girl groups, now that Itzy 4th-gen style is starting to take over, I actually rather appreciate Everglow stepping up and filling this more traditional girl crush role esp bc Blackpink releases are rare (CLC also did a really great job with Me last year!) I totally agree with Kevin that this is their best too, I feel like they've really nailed their sound with this third one. Bon Bon Chocolat was great but the main melody sort of repetitive and the drop less hard-hitting, Adios was really cool but the drop felt a lil 2014ish to me, whereas this feels like exactly what I'd want. ALSO that transition into the rap verse!!! Amazing :0

Definitely. And I mean this in the best way possible that Everglow compares favorably with Blackpink in terms of the sound and power they bring. In fact, I think I actually like "Dun Dun" a little bit better than anything that Blackpink has done (Blinks please don't shoot me, I like Blackpink also and this is just an opinion not a statement of fact).

ibrahim but I don’t think that Itzy is a girl crush group tho. They seem to be more Teen Crush (mixture of girl crush and a youthful concept created by Weki Meki) they clearly aren’t a girl crush group at all.

Just a tip: if you’re gonna recommend something, don’t spoil ANYTHING about the music. Umu tweeted that she already got spoiled about the use of Für Elise by someone else and seemed a bit upset about it. Imagine how the reaction would be if she hadn’t known. We’d see her be at least a little bit surprised, right? Now that someone spoiled it for her, we won’t get that. Pretty sure we’ll still get the reaction because she was asked by the company but now she won’t be surprised.

This was literally in the "not going to react" but they still did react to it. Wish they do the same with Itzy's Wannabe. I don't usually comment but I am right now for the sake of, I want to hear their opinions about the song itself..... Wish they do react.... their title tracks are very much a smooth mixture of popular trends and that could've been tacky, but i think girls and the company do a great job of giving the songs a recognizable everglow tone to it; it always sounds so like them and not like a repetition of another group.

Could you guys react to nun nu na na by cignature? Maybe one of their recent live stages, because they've been singing almost completely live (and they just debuted!) so I thought it would be cool to react to their vocals :)
