If you want a much faster reflex response, on the very bottom lock, position the locking mechanism 1 to 2 cm above the full lock and it will transform the speed of the bag.

Good review, you got it spot on, I just got same one yesterday and I had the same conclusion. I felt it just wasn't quick enough and the weight is definitely an issue.

I have the ringside version of this, nice for power shots. I also have a double end bag and both combined cost half of what the ringside cobra bag cost. Would be nice to have the cobra bag but I think for the price you can’t go wrong with a cheap reflex bag and double end bag.

I nearly bought this, I've had a cheap reflex bag for years now that I used to teach myself to box as well as I could. My one was no more than £30 with an inflatable ball on top and one spring on the base. It looks like it moves at the same speed as this Everlast one honestly... One way I made it faster and more suited to what I wanted was by shortening the height as much as possible and then placing it on top on some heavy duty cases to boost it up to my height (I'm about 5ft10). With this, I made a cheap bag much more usable for fast-paced action and it has served me really well, but I'm ready for an upgrade now. Something faster with more durability. You could probably do something similar with this Everlast make, but to be honest if you're going to pay up to 100 for it you probably dont want to have to make these kinds of adjustments for your needs. I doubt I would. I may hold out for something better, but I feel like this one looks reasonable for someone who's using equipment like this for the first time or hasn't really trained before though. Not that I'm an expert... Thanks for the video, very helpful!

I got the everlast one from Walmart without the second top spring. Do you think it’s practical to lower it to lowest setting and place the base on something higher up to simulate the spring location being in the middle

When’s the review on the reflex bag from Asia?

I have no space for a heavyweight bag and my town has no gym.. so went with this option. Not a bad choice

When I was starting to train I broke that in a day lol. Should work fine for light work. Ringside normal reflex bag is better but not sure if they still sell it.

So why did you not try it with both locking options .. I mean it still wouldn't be as good as your other bag but it would have been stiffer and there for quicker come back

The only way I found to use this was the take some resistance bands until you can barely throw a punch and then try to do it you'll actually get at least some kind of results

First one i ever bought do not buy this if you are actually trying to make your boxing skill set better, if you are looking to just having something to release some stress on and punch then buy it otherwise buy a cobrabag because that will sharpen your skills. If you can afford a 500dollar cobrabag go with the grodex, garcia bag doesnt have a base and the bags like to shift sideways total trash for 500bucks, another great review!

I bought this as an amateur boxer and I think it’s fun but not that great of a bag

This thing does not hold up. Main failure points: base attachment point. The plastic portion will crack and the metal rod will no longer attach. Also, the spring will loose it's tension and the bag will sag. Probably too heavy
